Best get the mount ready then. I have no issue with Gwen this series and would agree that Jack loves both Gwen and Ianto and that he very much needs both of them in his life. But love takes many wonderful forms and I simply don't see Jack and Gwen's as a romantic love. Total lack of sexual chemistry between the two actors aside I don't actually think that that's how JB and Eve are playing the relationship. Gwen is friend, sister, confidante, the one person who will smack Jack around and tell him what's what in the way that Ianto (who loves too simply and unconditionally) never could. I think Jack would be utterly broken if he lost Gwen - he desperately needs her in his life but that doesn't mean that I necessarily think that he spends his days picking china patterns and working out what they're going to call their first born. Sure he might want to jump Gwen - he's Jack - I'm sure he's given more than a passing thought to bedding all of his team at some point but does he actually want to usurp the place of Rhys in her life? I don't think so. Nor of course does that mean that I think Ianto is Jack's "one true love" and the only one he will ever be with.

Jack can love them both and need them both without loving the both in the exact same way and it's equally a disservice to the character to think otherwise.
