These are links to all my stories, in all my fandoms, all in one handy place. I've tried to organise in a useful way, but what's useful for me will be gibberish to someone else. But I've done my best! Please let me know if any links are broken etc etc.

House, M.D.

This was my first LJ fandom, and although I don't write for it any more, it's still lurking at the back of my interests list.

The Remedy
First ever Housefic, written for a challenge at [livejournal.com profile] housefic_pens. [spoilers for The Mistake]
(~1200 words)

Slamming Doors
Interconnected drabbles, following House and Stacy's relationship.
(6x100 word drabbles)

New Jersey Tea Ceremony
Yes, I did go through something of a drabble phase. These are only 50 words each, and incorporate a 'shopping list' challenge from [livejournal.com profile] housefic_pens
(5x50 word drabbles)

House Warming
With apologies for the pun. Everyone noticed that House moved apartments between seasons. But there's got to be a story behind it…
(~1300 words)

They Also Serve
Another challenge from [livejournal.com profile] housefic_pens. Why is House lurking in the hospital basement late at night? [spoilers for House vs God]
(~2000 words)

Yours, Mine and His
With thanks to [livejournal.com profile] perspi. Three different points of view on the same evening. Wilson, Stacy and House.
(~7500 words, in 3 parts)

Looking In
Written for [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal's 'Come as you aren't' party at Halloween. Cameron gets a new view into her relationship with House.
(~2400 words)

Traction
Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] extrabitter's plot bunny at (you've guessed it) [livejournal.com profile] housefic_pens. When Wilson ends up in the ER, House rushes to the rescue.
(~1800 words)

Song for the Asking
For the song title meme that originated (where else?) at [livejournal.com profile] housefic_pens. 21 interconnected drabbles, through Cuddy's life.
(~2300 words)

Ghosts of Christmas Past
Some things, you just can't forget.
(~600 words)

Not even a bathroom
Crack!fic. You have been warned...
(~600 words)

Criminal Minds

I kind of dropped out of the CM fandom when they stopped broadcasting the episodes on terrestrial TV. So there are only 4 stories, and they're pretty slim fare. Still, this is a comprehensive list, rather than a rec list, so I thought I should put them in here.

Correspondence
One of my favourite things to do is pick up where the episode left off. Here, Spencer can't call Lila, but he can email her. [spoilers for 'Somebody's Watching']
(~2000)

Sweet Memories
After 'A Real Rain', Reid learns an important lesson. This story would not have been possible without the candy addicts on my friends list :)
(~2600 words)

Let it Snow
A rare piece of pure fluff! The team finds that being snowed in isn't all bad.
(~1000 words)

Over the Wine
An unexpected follow-up to 'Let it Snow', incorporating a list of unusual words from [livejournal.com profile] goddess_of_7s. A quiet bar, a few drinks and some serial killers. Downtime for the BAU team. [spoilers for LDSK]
(~2700 words)

Stargate: Atlantis

Smitefulness
Sheer crack. Sometimes I despair in my hope of one day becoming a serious writer.
Don't you just wish you had one of these?

First Contact
I got to wondering how Rodney was recruited to the Atlantis project, and this was the result.
Elizabeth knows how to get what she wants (~2,000 words)

Making Sure
Episode tag for "Tabula Rasa".
Sheppard's not the only one still recovering from the events of the previous day. (~1180)

The Sounds of Silence
Comfort-fic, originally posted in comments to [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon
It's been a long day (~500)

Exchanges
For the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic "Stuck on You" Challenge.
Are we nearly there yet? (~3,200)

Finding Their Way
For the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic Amnesty 2007, using the 38 minutes and First Night prompts. The original plot bunny was for a companion piece to "First Contact" (above), and there may be more along these lines.
"I have an office" (~1,200)

Defender
Written for [livejournal.com profile] pansychubb for [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa. This is a revised version without the typos.
"May I have your attention, please? This is Colonel Carter. Colonel Sheppard is to be considered an immediate and serious threat to the security of the city." (~7,300)

Some Assistance Required
Possibly the only SGA fic to ever have been inspired by the Office Paperclip. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] greyias
What's a team for, if not to lend a helping hand? (~2,000)
And
Aroma
Not content with the above, [livejournal.com profile] greyias requested a follow-up.
Possibly the only time Rodney lets his coffee go cold. (490)

Research
For [livejournal.com profile] bironic, from the prompt "Ronon + Amphiboly". My first SGA drabble.

Five Mission Reports Sheppard's Team Turned In (And One They Didn't) (McKay/Sheppard)
This was a pinch hit for [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa, now adapted to be gen rather than McKay/Sheppard, because that's what I'm happier with. (~2,600)

Watch the Birdie
SGA; Gen; G. This is what happens when fans get hold of set drawings.
Sheppard had long known that his football footage wasn't the most unusual personal item that had been brought to Atlantis.

Rise up and fight
SGA; Gen; PG. For the 'Not Dead Yet' challenge.
"A little I'm hurt, but yet not slayne. I'll but lye down and bleed awhile, and then I'll rise and fight again." Sir Andrew Barton.

Bibula Harena
For the [livejournal.com profile] sga_genficathon. My genre was 'Action/Adventure' and my prompt was 'Slavery, captives or hostages'
This is all there is, the stick in his hand, the knife in his belt, the crowd roaring around him, and the man he has to kill. (~17,000)

Five times McKay and Sheppard arrived back in Atlantis without their clothes (and one time they nearly had to leave without them)
For the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic 'Five Things' Challenge
Animal, Vegetable, Mineral - the Pegasus Edition (~6,330)

True Colours (The Mother's Love Remix)
A remix of [livejournal.com profile] dossier's Habits of a Lifetime for [livejournal.com profile] gateverse_remix
When Meredith is four, she buys him a Big Chief tablet (~1,400)

Genus: Wraith (The Who Are You Remix)
Pinch-hit for [livejournal.com profile] gateverse_remix of [livejournal.com profile] cupidsbow's Class: Insecta
John is better, and it is good to have him back. She is relieved and happy. Of course she is. (~3,280)

Resonance
My entry to [livejournal.com profile] sgabigbang 2008.
As everyone tries to put Atlantis back together again, John has an accident that gives him more of an insight into the city and the Ancients than he ever could have wanted. Unfortunately, this also gives the city and the Ancients an insight into him. (~46,000)

In Memoriam
For [livejournal.com profile] leesa_perrie in the Fall 2008 fic Exchange at [livejournal.com profile] sgahcchallenges
Now he has new pain to pile on the old, a layer of scars so thick that he finds it hard to remember what lies beneath them. (~2,300)

Not Dead Yet
For [livejournal.com profile] archae_ology as part of the Fandom Free For All
"The box was large and striped, its lid flipped back and a small, handwritten note in front of it. Teyla paused as she passed.

Congratulations on not being dead.
O'Neill"
(~3,750)

Milk Run
For [livejournal.com profile] pollitt as part of the Fandom Free For All
The life of a soldier is long periods of boredom interspersed with brief moments of terror. This is one of the former. (~1,300)

Port Call
So. Pirate fic then. Written for [livejournal.com profile] chensuu as part of the Fandom Free For All, although I feel a little guilty about that because it was too much fun to write.
Port Call. Being the True and Factual Account of the Adventures of Rodney McKay, Genius, and his Encounters with those Fearsome Criminals of the Pirate Ship Wraith. John Sheppard was also there. (~3,600)

Board Wars
Written with [livejournal.com profile] greyias for the 'Team' challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic. This is a multimedia fic that's probably better read than described. All I can say is that it was more fun than is possibly legal...
"Earth seems to have a lot of games." "We get bored easily."

Crossover stories

Undead Torchwood/Buffy
There's a new kind of monster in Sunnydale. Fortunately, help is at hand, but will it be enough? [link is to index page. 3 parts & 2 bonus tracks]

Prices Torchwood/Sapphire and Steel
There's always a price, even for doing the right thing.

A Few Quiet Drinks Torchwood/Discworld crossover
Look, it's like this, okay? It started out with the image of two guys in a bar and just kind of...spiralled. Five parts later, I had a full-blown crossover on my hands. [The link goes to the index page]

Jack Harkness, Torchwood and Doctor Who

These three are inextricably linked in my writing, although I've tried to roughly separate them out.

My Drabble Collection
There's about 50 or so of these, some of which are whole stories, some of which are tiny vignettes. All can be found through the link above.

Doctor Who

Beating Time
Jack's having a long year, and it's only just started
(~5,800 words; set between "Sound of Drums" and "Last of the Time Lords")
For "The Year That Never Was" challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] lucyjanesparlor.
and
Conversations
Four days later: For once, Jack isn't the one doing the talking (~760 words)
and

Jack doesn't need much. (830 words)

Martha-fic. Set between 'The Sound of Drums' and 'Last of the Time Lords'
In the ruins of the world, Martha walks. But sometimes, she has to stop. (~1850 words)

There are five stages to grief. (~1000 words)

The Master of His Fate

And
Dafad Ramantus
Follow up, requested by [livejournal.com profile] rustydog
Jack and Ianto put things back where they belong.

Ghost in this Hub
Something's not quite right at Torchwood Three, but it takes the team a while to get to the bottom of it. (~2,600 words)

When in Wales
Humour and with a warning for gratuitous use of the Welsh language. I also seem to have a thing about Owen and sheep...
Some people just can't be bothered to make the effort. (~1,450 words)

Heading Home
Story for the Moving Words and Pictures Challenge. Inspired by Hanging by a Moment by [livejournal.com profile] fandom_me.
The Torchwood team make an unexpected stop on the way home. (~1150 words)

Decisions
Written for [livejournal.com profile] miss_zedem who wanted 'rainy day' fic. Set somewhere at the beginning of S2, but before I'd seen any of it.
Sometimes, things change. Even Jack. (~1300 words)
And
Stretched
He's different down here, as though he's shed the skin of Captain Jack Harkness, all swirling coat and ready smile, and doesn't quite know who he is without it. (1,600 words)

From the Ashes (3,300 words)
This was a very, very old story that I resurrected and padded out. Again, Z made me put the heart into the story, so that Jack came out a little more broken than I'd intended. But it gave closure to some outstanding issues, for Jack and me, so I guess that's a good thing.

Quietus
Written for [livejournal.com profile] pwcorgigirl who gave me the title as a prompt. Owen-centric, but for once I'm being nice to him...
"I'm a doctor not a prehistoric vet." (~1350 words)

High
Ficlet for [livejournal.com profile] seti_drd. "Aliens made them do it: Fluff Edition" [description courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] twistedlogic_]
It's a tough job, but Jack's up to the challenge. (~320 words)

What Not To Buy
For [livejournal.com profile] fan_eunice who wanted Ianto&Gwen frienship fic. Set somewhere between Meat and Something Borrowed.
All Gwen wanted was a nice, quiet shopping trip… (2,230 words)
And
Coffee and Cake
There is nothing in the world that doesn't seem better over a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. (780 words)

Jack

Undone
Because really, it was such a little thing. (warning for adult themes, although all off-screen. ~1500 words)
and
Endings
Six months later, Jack and the Doctor have a talk. (~600 words)

The Key
Inspired by that list in Utopia and conversations following The Sound of Drums.
Death is not the only constant in Jack's life (9 ficlets/~5,150 words)

A Longing to Inquire
For [livejournal.com profile] dark_aegis.
London, 1941. At the height of the Blitz, two people meet in the bombed out East End. (~950 words)

The Broken Places (2,645 words)
I'm pretty sure this is my favourite of my Jack character studies. Z and Chrys made me push it hard, putting more emotion onto the page than I'm used to, but it turned out all the better for it. Set between 'Last of the Time Lords' and 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang'.
Jack's home. Whether he likes it or not.

Ned
[livejournal.com profile] apiphile requested Jack/TE Lawrence. This is the result. A lot of research went into it, and I'm reassured that I haven't messed with history too much...
Aqaba, 1917. This wasn't part of the assignment. (~2,000 words)
and
Lamplight
For [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal.
Things look different by lamplight. (125 words)

Pure Silliness

Torchwood Nursery Rhymes
From an original idea by [livejournal.com profile] crystalshard. She picked the rhymes; the adaptations are mine.
(13 nursery rhymes!)

Club Night
Doctor Who fans meet Torchwood in the Discworld. Sort of. The only possible description for this is meta-crack-crossover, and I can't think of a summary that sufficiently explains it. Some things just sort of...happen...

For the Love of Cheese
I have no idea why I wrote this. Possibly just because I could... The pairing is Jack/Cheese. I think that's all you need to know.

Sic Transit Tempus

Photobucket

Cover by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] miss_zedem

This is my ficverse, following Jack from 1950 to 1990 (so far). It has references to Torchwood and Doctor Who, but also contains a cast of original characters who have taken on lives of their own. I keep meaning to put these in chronological order, but as that's not how I wrote them, I'm not sure that would make sense. Instead, the 'main' series are at the top, and the rest are effectively missing scenes from the series.

The Waiting Years
I: Lost and Found Everyone needs somewhere to belong, even Jack. (~2500 words)
II: Coming Back Working for Torchwood doesn't exactly turn out as Jack had hoped. (~9200 words)
III: Shangri-La Jack, a car, a driver and a rainy night in Wales. What could go wrong? (~3400 words)
IV: The Shape of Things When several RAF officers are attacked, Torchwood is called to investigate. (~9200 words)
V: Promise In a tight corner, Jack always has a plan. (~3900 words)
VI: Jack, the Weevil and Me Life is never dull when Jack comes to town. (~6400 words)

The Wandering Years
1: New York (or: Wonderful Town) When Jack hits the town, he really hits it. (~7,600)
2: San Francisco (or: Where I Left My Heart) Staying out of trouble has never been one of Jack's strengths. This time, his friends are in it too. (~4,200)
3: Las Vegas (or: Viva!) Part 1 and Part 2 What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...and Jack's going to wish that it would. (~14,000 total)
4: Cardiff (or: Going to the Chapel) As far as weddings went, Jack decided that this ranked up there with the best. (~2,500)
5: Vancouver (or: Old Friends) Even in the middle of nowhere, Jack can find trouble. (~8,300)
6: Cardiff Reprise (or: To Everything there is a Season) There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven...a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1&4 (3,200)
7: Melbourne (or: Try to Remember) Jack goes in search of a friend of a friend. (~1,300)
8: Auckland (or: Time after Time) Some days, Jack's just going round in circles.(~9,700)
Coda: Bangkok (or: Bring me to life) "What are we doing in Thailand?" (~1,480)

Stand-alone stories

Moonrise
Written for [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang and hosted at that site. Includes art by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] matsujo9 and [livejournal.com profile] _medley_

Five ways Jack came to the rescue (and one way someone rescued him) Spans 1954-2004, with guest appearances from various supporting characters. (~7,500 words)

Snookered Just a friendly game of snooker, but when it's Jack playing, anything can happen. (set between "Shangri-La" and "The Shape of Things"; ~2,500 words)

The First Time
Because [livejournal.com profile] travels_in_time wanted to know what happened the first time Hugh saw Jack 'come back'. (Set between "Shangri-La" and "The Shape of Things"; ~1,700 words)

Taking His Leave

[written for [livejournal.com profile] fandom_me's birthday] Jack and Marion, saying goodbye. Technically a missing scene from "The Waiting Years: Jack, the Weevil and Me" but makes sense on its own as well.

Ar Hyd Y Nos (All Through the Night)
A set of 4 ficlets inspired by [livejournal.com profile] miss_zedem's 'first kiss' meme. The Joneses know what they want, and how to get it. [Jack/Hugh/Marion; set between 'Shangri-La' and 'Snookered'; PG-13].

Stay With me
A set of 3 ficlets inspired by [livejournal.com profile] miss_zedem's 'fist kiss' meme. Somehow, Jack always manages to make things more complicated. [Jack/Hywel, Jack/Hugh/Marion; set after 'Las Vegas' and after 'Cardiff/Going to the Chapel'; PG-13/R]

Tears of the Gods
For [livejournal.com profile] rustydog's birthday
He was the centre of a kaleidoscope, drenched in colour and sound so strong that it dazzled him, reflecting back and around in sequences of breathtaking beauty. (1,300 words)

Waiting
Written for [livejournal.com profile] donutsweeper. Marion waits

I wrote some "Timestamp" ficlets within this universe:
Bridgend
1 year before "The Waiting Years I: Lost and Found". Even Jack can take a hint. (~370 words)

Flowers
1 week after "Kiss (Auckland, 1989)" from "Five ways..." Of course, Jack had sent flowers. (~400 words)

Personal Space
2 months after "The Waiting Years II: Shangri-La". Has Jack met his match? (~840 words)

A Friendly Game
A few hours after "Coffee" from "Five ways..." That gentle twitch, the slightest quirk of thin lips was definitely a smile. (366 words)

Quicksilver
One month after "Snookered". In the past six months, Jack has done his best to turn their lives upside down, and Hugh has started to forget that most people don't have a larger than life American secret agent in their lives. (1,340)

Waiting for Tomorrow
Oh boy. I think you'd better read the author's notes for this one, but if you've never heard of the AU [livejournal.com profile] ouvretesyeux, it's not going to make a whole lot of sense.
In wartime London, Richard has a surprising encounter with a young Lance Corporal. (~4,000 words)
and
When Tomorrow Comes
For the Timestamp Meme. [livejournal.com profile] miss_zedem requested five minutes after 'Waiting for Tomorrow'
Just one simple phone call. (~900 words)

This isn't technically a story, but since I had a hand in creating it, I wanted to link to it from here.

The marvellous [livejournal.com profile] in_the_bottle kindly agreed to make me the Martha vid I'd always wanted. Become has all the things I love about Martha, in one 4-minute package. It's wonderful and I just can't watch it enough.
