One day I will be less distracted by shiny things. Today is not that day

Since I was singing it so obsessively, I thought I'd look up the singer, Jonathon Coulter.

That was my first mistake.

His website is great, and he gives away huge amounts of music for free. Yup, download legally, folks. He asks for money if you've got it, or a plug if you don't. I will probably pay for some stuff when I can download onto my own computer, but for now, I'll settle for plugging it.

"That spells DNA" is available for free on his Downloads page, and I'm going to have a fun day exploring everything else that's there. I may never get my life back at this rate...

Phew!

I've been keeping the SGA Big Bang over at my writing journal (as those I've been spamming will know), but I just had to share this, because I'm so chuffed!

10,472 / 40,000 (26.2%)

That's 4 days' worth of writing. I'm not feeling too burnt out yet, but then, this is half the pace I wrote my TARDIS Big Bang at! If I can keep up the 3k a day pace, I should be finished in plenty of time to give it a really good polish before the deadline. And not fry my betas' brains, which I think is always the polite thing to do. The best bit is, I don't think there's a single sentence of padding in the whole thing - every paragraph is there for a reason, and that makes me so happy. Who knows, maybe this year I'll have a go at NaNo!
