Apr. 28th, 2010 02:49 pmTo say that my life is busy right now would be like saying baby krakens are a little bit cute.
Hah!
A rough run-down from Monday evening goes something like:
~ Dressmaking class. All kinds of awesome, but I need to buy a pattern that a)is very simple and b)I like and c)will fit me. That last one is challenging, since the pattern sizes don't match shop sizes even vaguely. I'm normally a 10-14, but in pattern terms, I'm a 14-20. *boggles* Anyway, I didn't get in til 9.30 from that, and slept very fitfully.
~ Tuesday morning was an early enquiry desk shift. Busy, because all the students are back and none of them can find anything.
~ Lunch with a friend at the club, which always wipes out an extra half an hour for walking and faffing.
~ Chiropractor's appointment. Apparently I am much improved and don't need to go back for a month. My mother also sent me an article this morning about how CBT has been found to vastly reduce back pain. Now there's a thing.
~ Got in from Chiropractor and within 5 minutes my mother rang. She's coming down on Saturday, but it's MayDay, so central Oxford will be in chaos. We went round in circles on that for a while, and only got it sorted in email today, but I had to cut it short because...
~ Went to Slimming World. I love these ladies so much ♥ I took some crochet, along with the cute little pink bag that I made. And I got 2 more requests to make them o.O Oh, and one of the people who wanted one also said that I can have some space on her craft stall in August if I want. I don't have to turn up, I don't have to pay, I just need to give her things and she'll sell them and give me the money.
*blinks* Things like that don't happen to me.
~ Got in from Slimming World and had a lovely long natter with J (it felt like I hadn't seen him for 48 hours!) and finished the flap of mum's bag. Pockets and lining still left to do!
I now have an hour to work on the talk I'm giving at a conference in July (did I mention that?) before going to collect a certificate and Amazon voucher for finishing work's Web 2.0 course.
If anyone needs me, I'm that blur going in the other direction...
