*waves frantically*

Nope, I aten't dead, just in a severe state of oh-good-grief-ness. But my SGA Big Bang, all forty-two and a half thousand words of it (written in the equivalent of SIX DAYS - see icon) is now submitted, and I have until the 25th to get it into a reasonable shape. Before then, I need to write my [livejournal.com profile] gateverse_remix story, which I'm actually quite looking forward to, just to give my brain a break. I'll plough through it while the Big Bang is with the betas.

This means I can start getting around to the comments I missed, the posts I missed and everything else I didn't do this week. I'm still going to be a hopeless friend until everything's done and in, but I can start trying again, at least. Thanks to everyone who's been commenting and keeping me going - I really, really appreciate it and will tell you so soon!

Hope I didn't miss anything important, and normal service will be resumed after the 25th, when my brain becomes my own again. Or at least as much as it ever is.

So. How is everybody?

*beams* Thanks! My brain, she is mush, but I'm quietly pleased with how the story's going.

Heh, not sure how 'back' I'll be until it's finally over, but I'm starting to dabble again, which is nice :)

So. How is everybody?

Knackered... and up to the eyeballs in badly written scientific papers that have to be edited, precised, and formatted into a project proposal document to put in front of the EC committee responsible for this stuff by 17.00 tomorrow! Argh, basically.

*pets you* You've done a fantastic job. You should be really proud of yourself.

Meeting went surprisingly well. I got tackleglomped by a couple of colleagues, and I managed an entire conversation with manager without wanting to punch her. This is a big achievement...

Now I just have to find something to do with myself Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays :S

I'm just hoping I'll be able to get my pick of the fic this year since unlike Tardis big bang, the artists get to choose the fic based on the summaries provided, and last year, due to the time difference, I almost was left with very few choices!

You know, it'd be funny if I end up with your fic! LOL!

Poking my head out of my hidey writey cave long enough to offer a big congrats, and a huge tip of my hat for finishing! 40K in six days... I bow to your speedy word prowess!

Hope I didn't miss anything important, and normal service will be resumed after the 25th, when my brain becomes my own again.

Haha... WORD.

Okay... back to staring at my own word count... 1.5 scenes to go!

I am completely incapable of working without a deadline - things will go untouched for years, but give me a deadline, and I can turn them around in 24 hours. It's a thing...

I think I am just about to write gen Nine, Jack, Rose... I just woke up with 'an idea' as someone who can write 1000s of words in six days you probably won't understand quite how terrifying that is to me.

10000 words in one week IS pretty urgh! I really don't recommend 40k, and if I wasn't so horribly inefficient, it wouldn't have been necessary!

It's a shame your 10k aren't in fandoms I know either! :S

Hee.

Seriously, I DO NOT recommend 40k in six days, unless you want fried brain cells and not to get anything else done. It wasn't actually fun, and I've now got a whole pile of words and little energy for editing :S

Waking up with an idea is such a great feeling! Glad you felt the need to share :D Good luck!
