Doh

The cold, it has killed my brain cells. Instead of writing, I'm wandering round LJ, adding back comms that I stopped watching a few months ago. No, not [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants because the traffic is too high and there's just too much manga for me to get what's going on most of the time. But I did put [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes back on, and found a new one that appeals more specifically to my sense of humour:

[livejournal.com profile] wrongworddammit

Because that word doesn't mean what you think it means...

You know, in the time I've spent reading back through all the posts at that comm, I could have written my LFWS entry... Or I could have, if this wretched bug hadn't killed my writing braincells. I'm glad I got it *after* we posted 'Board Wars', or it might never have happened. I'd so hoped to go through LFWS without using a skip, no matter how busy I got. Apparently, I can write when I'm up to my neck in RL, but not when I have a virus.

Go figure.

You know, some days I scare myself. Because while *I* do everything *you* guys tell me to (of course), when *I* mention something and *you* guys think it's fun too, it always surprises me :) So, one post here leads to 2 at [livejournal.com profile] wrongworddammit and one at [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants. Feel the power.

*pauses*

[nothing]

Ah well.

In further evidence that with great power comes great responsibility, have some emergency SGA fic, designed to stop [livejournal.com profile] naye from going anime-crazy. Hopefully it worked...

Ooh! *Joins [livejournal.com profile] wrongworddamnit*

I joined a badfic community once, but I'm a bit iffy about them. I suppose I'm just scared of seeing my own stuff on there!

*G* Make sure you join [livejournal.com profile] wrongworddammit (US spelling - they tend not to use the 'n'. There's an irony there if I can just get at it...)

I like MSTs in general, but quickly get tired at the volume of posting to badfic comms, or at least the level of stuff that's considered bad. Sometimes it's just...poor. You have to dig for the real gold ;)

D'oh! Maybe I should read the community for educational purposes!

*dies at your icon* I'm going to chuck my NaNo ones and get some of the badfic ones that Z acquired, but that one is awesome.

Also, do not read the comm in a public place. I ended up having to read half of it out to my colleague...

Skience jokes amuse me way too much. I should really stop telling the Heisenberg joke at social gatherings because nobody else laughs at it.

I see what you mean - the 'scathing milk burns' one is going to be shared around at work! (Actually, milk doesn't burn that much, even at 100 degrees it feels mild compared to water scalds. I know this from experience!)

Heisenberg is speeding down the motorway when he's pulled over by a police car. The officer gets out and taps on the car window.
"Excuse me sir," says the policeman, "do you realise how fast you were going?"
"No," says Heisenberg, "but I know exactly where I am!"

...I know. So lame it should be taken out the back and shot.

Two atoms walking along a street, and one turns to the other and says "oh no, I lost an electron."

The second one looks at the first. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah," says the first. "I'm positive..."

...you think you have problems ;)

You should be ashamed of yourself!

*Copies that one down*
