It's kinda late, but I am determined to be awesome for a whole month, and I don't want to miss an entry. Today I have been awesome because I have been with my friend and helped her find presents for her relatives. I also wrestled with my impulse control issues rather than giving into them. I find visualisations very helpful, and my depression is definitely a big black dog (note: image not original to me ;)). He's in training right now, because I am in charge, not him. *nods firmly*

I am also awesome because I did some admin on the [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang (everyone now invited \o/) and set up the comm for the Criminal Minds Big Bang. There's lots of admin still to do for everything, as well as the writing I want to get done and the million other things on my list, but there's always tomorrow for them.

In unrelated news, we have no lights in the bedroom, hall or bathroom. The plug sockets still work fine, so we have a lamp in the bedroom that also lights the hall, but we're using candles in the bathroom. It would be romantic if it wasn't so annoying, but sorting the fuse is going to have to be a job for tomorrow - we need to proceed with caution, since everything went 'pop' before it went dark, and I like my husband as he is, rather than charred.

So that was my Saturday. How are you guys aweseome today?

You are most definitely awesome. And what a lovely icon!

Despite suffering a truly awful head cold, I trekked out today with my husband to do the grocery shopping and buy dog toys. The awesome came from making an organized list beforehand. He gets aggravated if I have to backtrack through the store for anything I overlooked, but we got things done in an impressively short amount of time.

*falls off sofa* You know, visualising it like that might actually help...

Not quite the fearsome beast. More like the yippy haircut.

I have so many pretty icons, I have to keep rotating them to get the full effect :)

That definitely sounds awesome - my husband's the same about not repeating paths in supermarkets *rolls eyes* Apparently extra mileage is not acceptable ;)

Hope you feel better soon!

I am awesome today because I have given a student nurse back her enthusiasm for the job.

Fixing lighting circuit fuses is a pain if you've got to do it with good old fashioned fuse wire as lighting is usually only 5 amps and the sodding wire breaks really easily. I've had to fix too many main fuses in the last 6 months (about 3), good job I know how to do it I suppose.

No charred Mr., plz.

Today I am awesome because I worked on this thing for six hours straight (or was it seven?) and my right eye wants to fall out but I am going to a party, dammit.

I like the visualization idea - good for you for working on training your dog. Being in control is awesome.

Oh and the first month of awesome is awesome too!

Late-breaking news: I am awesome because I had scrubbed and disinfected the toilet only an hour before an entire shelf and everything on it fell *into* the toilet?

Let's see. Saturday I:

Filled in the holes in the new skirting board and door frame.
Sanded the new skirting board and door frame.
Put primer on the new skirting board and door frame.
Cooked an 8-portion lasagne.
Cooked four portions of African Peanut Curry sauce.
Delivered 220 Avon catalogues.
Prepared 200 more Avon catalogues for the next campaign.
Organised the files for the new contract.
Fell over exhausted and almost fell asleep in my dinner...

You are very awesome *twirls you* Hope [livejournal.com profile] major_jim didn't end up fried!

Yesterday I was awesome because I was firm with a friend who wanted to take the dog for a really long walk. I explained clearly why that wasn't happening, and put my foot down about stick/ball-throwing as well. Protectiveness, I has it.

Well done, awesome you! *hands you a newspaper for hitting D-Dog on the nose with*

No lights? I wish I'd known earlier, I'd have popped up today and given you a hand. After all, I am a trained electrical engineer! *grin*
