What else can you do with 400 tonnes of cold porridge?

There are days when I swear that living with me must be like having a toddler in the house. I've been fragile and fractious for days without any definite cause. The tantrum thrown when my other half suggested going out this afternoon was truly impressive, but fortunately he is always right (except when he isn't) so when he told me to go to bed and sleep, I did.

Oh. Good. Grief.

I only slept for 3 hours, but it's like inhabiting my own brain for the first time in a long time. Best feeling ever. So today I am awesome for sleeping, as well as for giving the flat a really thorough clean, doing washing, making dinner and posting fic. Oh yeah, I'm on a roll.

Today I am awesome because I made it over 5000 words? And I stopped flapping about something the original scriptwriters didn't really bother with (no, really, people don't get bail for suspected murder, even if they're Mounties. Especially if they're Mounties.).

Sometimes I reallyreally wonder why/how hubby puts up with me, especially when I'm having the "where is/are my keys/notebook/glasses/pocketbook/ATM/fast pass/etc etc etc" meltdown.

He is truly a Saint. :)

This morning we've been out for a nice brunch at Chow AND we have dinner reservations for Fog City Diner.

I've dealt with Laundry and the Pill Issue, but there's still some other errands on my list.

Sleep is awesome, especially if you don't realise you need it and manage to get some!

Today I am awesome because I went to the tattoo place down the road to make enquiries about getting my first tat done. I have a quote, and an estimate of time. I should be able to get it done in time for Whitby!

This is what I'm getting done, at the base of my neck so it is visible but not too obvious...

And if you're wondering what the hell that is, it's the theobromine molecule aka the active ingredient of chocolate.

A reasonably awesome weekend, yes.

I am awesome because I copied some of my CDs to MP3 today, which I've been meaning to do for ages. Also, I kept going with my Big Bang story - I'm not as far along as Z, but it's starting to roll.

I'm considering posting the intro for the first episode of my Big Bang, for entertainment and get-me-writing purposes.
