The other half is off to Berlin today, for two nights, but it's more like 3 days, since he's now on the coach and won't be back until Friday night. On the other hand, he has WiFi on the coach, so he's probably reading this right now *waves* HI, HONEY!

Because he is generally wonderful, he's left me with a list of things I should eat (I get flustered if I have to make up a meal on the spot) and 2 seasons of NCIS to make me happy :) After yesterday's incident, I'm taking today off as well, hoping it'll get me over the shakes and weakness and leave me strong enough to do some long days Thursday and Friday. I want to be completely up to date by the weekend if I can manage it.

In the meantime, today's list consists of 'lie on sofa' and 'make medical appointments' neither of which require more energy than I have. I'm also working on my [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang story, which needs a bit of life injecting into it, and prodding at some other things. But mostly, I'm going to be squeeing at Gibbs and the gang. *squees*

Mid-point of the week folks. It's all downhill from here! I'll keep the coffee on all day if you want to drop in. Just prod me if I doze off ;D

Hi~! ♥

*drops in*

I'm glad you're taking it easy, and enjoying your enforced time off. And alone, too! But you're right - your other half does seem to be very wonderful indeed.

And, yay - NCIS! I don't fan it loudly or often, but it won a special place in my heart back in September, and I haven't kicked it out since. Where are you at?

Ahh, mid-point of the week... or the end-point of my holidays. They were good! I will miss them. But only two days of work, and then it's the weekend again! Life keeps happening. Funny how that works.

Nice to see you *passes coffee*

My NCIS-watching is all over the map. There's a UK TV station called 'Five' which broadcasts CBS shows (NCIS, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, the CSIs), and one of Five's spin-off channels is Five US which shows that stuff more or less wall to wall. But because it's wall to wall, you never know what you're going to get when you tune in! So I've seen episodes from all the seasons, but not all the episodes from all the seasons, and they've all been a a completely random order. I'm really looking forward to starting at the beginning and going towards the end!

Usually, I have no idea what's going on in the plot, but I honestly don't care because I could watch these guys read the phone book. Mostly because Tony and Ziva would squabble over who goes first, McGee would find a digital copy that's more up to date, and Gibbs would tear the damn thing in half to get some peace and quiet ;)

Glad you've had a good holiday :D And two days to the weekend is definitely a good thing!

Hi there, long-time lurker, second time contacter here!
Just some health related stuff based on similar library related experience, especially based on the posts 2/3 days ago.

If you are naturally disposed towards low blood pressure and have anaemia (even just a little bit) the sudden swing up to over-head exertion can cause a wee dip down in blood pressure again just enough to cause a brain grey-out, not quite a black out in other words. Since you have been finding choccy help of benefit the iron in it has been a bit of a self medication. Scoring extra iron by having dark choc unusually? The sugar high/low swing causes a dip in pressure also, and there you are, yo-yoing about and working. Add to it that in the stacks and shelves there can be a lack of fresh air and the decomp of paper etc by-products can cause a reduction on actual oxygen available and whomp you are on the floor!
I once wworked in an archive that was sited ground floor corner on a major junction in London, and just at the row of stacks where the traffic waited and the exhaust fumes pooled if the wind was in the wrong direction there was a "zonk out"zone, and we developed an unoffical buddy system in case!

How to fix it? Check for anaemia, low blood pressure and too tight a bra restricting your chest expansion and breathing. Yep, and pregnancy! Lack of oxygen to the brain contributes to feeling low too and may be fixable simply. Anything left after fixing these things is what the heck you really have to deal with, and I recommend talk therapy for that if it's not actually physical. I have expertise in that area and may be of use.PM me anytime.XXXX

That's really sweet of you thanks. :) Unfortunately, I've been checked for all those things in the last few months, and the answer we keep getting is "none of the above". Although I do have a hospital appointment (gyne *shudder*) that might hold some answers if I'm very, very lucky and can get through the switchboard to an actual person. If I have to listen to Vivaldi for another ten minutes with no answer I may have to throw the phone in the river!

The talking stuff is also in progress, although not without complications that I can't really talk about in a public post (just admin stuff, frustrating rather than anything else). Work's been great, and I'm hoping to at least start getting sorted on that front soon - my mother's a counsellor, so I know a)that this stuff helps and b)that it takes a long time! But I'm not looking for a quick fix, just for something that will stop all this coming up again in 6 months' time.

I really appreciate the advice, though. Oh, and I was mostly joking about the chocolate ;) Things are swings and roundabouts here at the moment, so for the moment I'm going with "exhaustion brought on by insomnia" as a reason for the brain fuzz, taking it easy today and hoping that some sleep will put me...not right, but at least better.

Thank you so much for delurking again! Much appreciated ♥

My week's been trying to go downhill since about Monday. :D I hope you're feeling better and do no more impromptu dives to the carpet. *hugs*

The USA channel here shows big chunks of NCIS reruns from, as best I can tell, several past seasons at once. It's rather odd to have characters appear and disappear over the course of several hours. My work buddy Miss V. got me hooked on watching, and whenever there's a NCIS marathon, she camps out in front of the television for the entire day.

*grin* I am currently experiencing the theraputic value of a fluffy blanket, a stuffed toy from a friend (crystalshard sent me the cuddliest tiger in the world) and NCIS. It's all good.

NCIS has always been something I've watched piecemeal, so I'm loving seeing it in the right order for once. Things actually make more sense that way :D

Hmmm, Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome or Endemetriosis? *puts hand up* LJ comm for this is ace, see my friends of page for details. Have also done battle with fertility issues and other stuff like Lupus... (not just a null return on a House episode!).

OT, what keys do you use to get the heart shape? I is newb at this stuff and would like to pepper my Merlin comments with it. LOLcat comms ate my grammar years ago.X

Endemetriosis at the moment - assuming I can get through, I should get a laporoscopy, or however you spell it ;) A two week hormonal cycle that not even the Pill can get under control is Not Fun. Will check out the comm, thanks.

For the heart you type "&"hearts";" without the " I only learned it last week so am using it wherever possible :D

OK, your day officially sounds better than mine - NCIS is awesome! Alright, so the 'feeling crap' thing I could probably do without. But wall to wall Abby and Gibbs and Tony sounds good :)

Um, did you get my email with the Jack/Jack? Did I make it worse, better, or just different bad?

In other news, I has a bunch of free books - proofs this time \o/ So today kind of wins as much as it fails.

Take care of yourself *hugs*

You know I wish I'd known sooner - if you get FX they are currently showing NCIS Season 1 at 8pm daily - today's episode will be #13 One Shot, One Kill

AND OH! if you never saw Simon Baker in The Guardian, Five USA are showing the first season of that (as of Bank Holiday Monday) 6pm (oh and 3pm for the repeat of the previous night's episode). I think they are doing a catch up Saturday/Sunday omnibus thing as well.

I can't always get to the TV at a regular time, so I tend to just whatever's on when I'm around. I'm a bit fan of the iPlayer/4OD/demand.five ;)

I've seen the ads for The Guardian but decided not to watch. I'm too easily confused and I'm enjoying the Mentalist too much to spoil it!

The Guardian is not a bit the same as The Mentalist and my children looked at me and said "How different does he look!" whenI put it on last night. But whatever makes you happy *snuggles*

I cannot get demand.five to work for me at ALL :( I've never managed to figure out why; I tried everything they suggested...

*waves* I come bearing lolcats (http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/funny-pictures-cat-squished-his-happiness.jpg), since I cannot send you stuffed lolruses (http://www.lolmart.com/lolrusplush1.html). (Although I did think about it a little bit yesterday)

Stretching out on the couch and squeeing over Gibbs et all sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Wednesday ♥ Which seasons are you watching?

Ah, you guys obviously have stronger brains than me. Just the trailer was enough to give me serious confusion - he does look different, but I'm terrible with faces, so his voice was enough to throw me. Maybe when this series of The Mentalist has finished I'll give it a go :)

It's very nice icon! shiny!

Oops, sorry! Will get it back to you now *has guilt*

It's so awesome! Although S1 isn't as light and frothy as later seasons, I still can't follow the plots for toffee but I'm loving every minute :D

*passes cup* NCIS is wonderful, and I'm loving seeing the team dynamic grow from S1. It's making much more sense this way, rather than watching random episodes out of order.

Have a good day!

That is possibly the best description of the team dynamic that I've read in a long time *grins* I want to read this in a fic lol. Also, what would Abby be doing (I know Ducky would regale them with how it reminds him of that time in *insert place*... lol)?
