Did I mention I hate being off work sick? No matter how much fun it sounds having a day under a blanket watching NCIS, I'm booooooooored.

Ooh, I've still got those links, haven't I? And these random things that I feel like sharing because I don't have anyone here to talk to. *spams you*

~ Here on my own, I don't really want to eat properly. On the other hand, I also don't want to pass out again while I'm on my own, so I'm going to make a huge plate of oven chips.

~ This place is a tip. Once this episode of NCIS is over, I'm going to tidy up, then switch MP3s around on my player which is something I've been meaning to do for months.

~ While I'm on my own, I'm going to sleep on the sofa bed with the large, fluffy dog that I got for finishing my finals and the small, cuddly tiger that crystalshard got me. This possibly makes me pathetic, but I think I'm going to find it easier to sleep in a strange bed than a half-empty one.

Right. 20 more minutes of the completely wonderful NCIS team then I must get on with some tidying. Links to follow. Probably.

ETA: First tidying job done. When I last owned basil, I found that it needed plenty of watering and lots of trimming to keep it growing. Both of those jobs are now done :)

*g* I'm not a bad cook, just can't be bothered for one. Chips are in the oven, so I should have stuff to nom soon.

I had blood tests which showed nothing wrong (blood sugar, anaemia etc), so the next stop is a blood pressure one and a hospital visit. Hopefully after *that*, I'll know what's going on. It's all a bit of a mystery at the moment, although if I could go without the fainting for a few weeks, that would be good :)

After living on my own for seven years, I've learned that my relationship with food is very different when I'm alone vs. when I'm around people. It's so hard to bother when it's just you.

The bed thing, too! I wind up sleeping on the couch or the floor fairly often because they're - fundamentally different from the bed somehow. If you sleep on the sofa, it's less of a commitment or something. I'm glad you have your dog and your tiger, they sound like good company. :)

Basil yay! And two jobs done! I just potted some basil last night. Then it got slightly shredded in a thunderstorm, but maybe that's less trimming later?

I used to have someone who had a kind of fluctuating diabetes, it took ages for her to be diagnosed...might be worth repeating the test. Or maybe buy those little strips that you dip in your pee so that you can test when you have one of your 'episodes'. And I can see how fainting every few days or so would get old fast lol, but on the brightside, you got a whole day of NCIS, which is awesome and may in turn lead you to produce some awesome fic *looks hopeful* :)

Just thinking about it and wondering if they've checked your thyroid function. Also, just because something comes back as normal doesn't mean it's normal for you. You may be with in normal ranges with regards anaemia but that is actually low for you personally, it might not hurt to try a couple of months with vit c & iron (the vit c helps the iron get into the system). Other things that I can think of are vit B6 & B12 that are aids for the brain (if I remember correctly).

Hope they can get you sorted out. It was a relief when I found out why I was falling down stairs and talking like I'd had a dozen pints in rapid succession even though it isn't an illness I was particularly happy to have. Fickle emotion is fickle!

I end up having blood tests about ever 6 months for this kind of thing, and the doctor's finally reached the "right, we're sticking a camera in you" stage, which is unpleasant but has the advantage of being more definitive :S There are some likely candidates, but once we've ruled them out? I think I'm looking at something like CFS/ME, which yeah, not nice, but maybe I can do something about.

We'll see what they say once they've cut a hole in me ;)

It's very hard on the food front. We plan a week's meals in advance, and we deliberately put simple things down for these two days, so hopefully I can manage to heat ready-made sausage casserole through. More chips may also be involved.

I have my dog, my tiger AND a sheep that Z sent me. I'm going to be snuggly.

The flat no longer looks like a couple of party-loving teenagers spent a wild weekend here, so I'm feeling much better :) I've had a lot of success at growing basil over the years - it's very robust - but coriander (cilantro) just dies on me. I've tried buying plants, so I'm thinking of raising it from seed to see if that makes them stronger. That stuff is so expensive, I'd love to be able to have it on tap, so to speak.

I have an element of CFS with the MS, which sucks majorly, I've never fainted though so I dunno if I've just been lucky or if that's possibly something else.

It has to have Abby and Gibbs. hmm... Oh, have you seen the ep with Abby thinking that Gibbs has forgotten her birthday and at the end of the programme he tells her the gift is on her desk... she opens it and says "that's so pulp fiction". I'd like to see the reverse, Abby's birthday gift to Gibbs that causes one of those little smiles of his and the something like "that's my girl" :) If you don't mind too much *smiles sweetly*.

*phew* I had a sudden moment of 'oh dear, I hope I've not spoiled it'. I know some people like to be spoiled but other's, like me, hate it. So, I'm glad you'd seen it. Yeah it glows, and I've wondered everytime that I've seen that ep what it actually is (I've never seen Pulp Fiction *gasp*).

I've had similar trouble with cilantro. Every other herb I've tried growing has been successful and I have some plants that have been growing continuously for years, but I've tried cilantro from seed and from nursery-grown, and it always seems to give up the ghost in June. I don't think it's that heat sensitive, so I don't know, the only other thing would be to wait until I have an actual plot of ground to work with. :) But I pretty much live on homemade salsa in the summer, and fresh cilantro makes it taste so good, I'd love to be able to keep it alive!

I used to sleep on the sofa when my husband was away (until it got that he was away so much that I wanted to sleep on the sofa when he was there :-( Glad to say, neither is currently the case :-) and I have a tiger too! Actually, I have a few tigers, but one that I had first. His name is Tiger *grin* My latest tiger is a hand puppet and is called Roary, lol. I'm such a child.
