I am still loving this story. It's so vivid and detailed, and so much happens in each episode. It continues to amaze me that all the people involved are fairly competent, because the on-screen TW crew just does not impress me in that respect. What in the world happens to the Cardiff branch to bring them to their current level of non-professionalism? Also, this being the seventies, Hywel should still be around somewhere in the present day. WHAT HAPPENS TO HYWEL?!? Is Kleenex going to be required at any point in this story?
Speaking of Hywel...Jack really does have that effect on everyone, doesn't he? I can't blame Hywel one bit. :) But I can see why Jack would hesitate. Hugh doesn't mind Jack being Jack, but he might have very strong feelings regarding his son, and Jack wouldn't want to mess up his relationship with Hugh. I think that Jack does have his own code of honor, even if it's not one that many people would recognize. (And I hate fics that imply otherwise. Blah.)
