Apologies if I owe you stuff, but I'm curled up under a duvet, crocheting and pretending that my stomach doesn't hate me. On the plus side, I've almost finished the mitten I was working on. On the down side, I'm hungry and eating doesn't make me nauseous, just ill.

*sigh* Thank you all for the cookies, which I will nom when I'm feeling better.

(Z, I will be fine for tomorrow, if I have to eat all the Settlers in the world ;))

*hugs* Hope you feel better for staying off work! Sometimes a day just letting yourself feel ill is all it takes... And yay for the mitten crocheting! Not to mention the virtual cookies, which are the best kind :D

I think so. I probably should have done it yesterday, but there you go :S There are now 4 crocheted snowflakes to show for it, so it's not all bad ;)

*giggle* It's definitely worth a try. I'm currently resolving the problem by Not Eating, but I'm thinking that's not a long-term solution...

I know from the context that Settlers must be something that settles your stomach, but since I hadn't heard of them, I was picturing you devouring settlers, as in people who move into areas previously unoccupied by humans (or a certain brand of humans).

Hee!

I do hope you feel better soon and don't have to resort to eating Settlers or settlers. :)

(Mitten! Go you!)

Heh, yes, they're just flavoured chalk, really, but I was very fond of them as a child. I swear, no cannibalism involved. *g*

(sadly, I think it will need frogging, since it is shockingly ugly, but I think that's the fault of the yarn. The pattern is great and I'm going to try again in a different colour :))

Oh, we have something like that, an antacid called Tums. It's calcium carbonate, maybe? The traditional flavor is mint, and I liked them as a child too. :)

Ooh, we had Tums too! They had a song that went "tum, tumtum, tum, TUUUUUUUMS!"

Er. That probably works better in person...

Hee, maybe, but we had the same ad, so I get it! I think it's the tune from an old detective show or something.
