Things you can do with a crochet hook

I've been talking a lot about crochet lately, so thought you guys would like to see the fruits of my labours. Most things are at my ravelry page, but I've also put some pictures below for folks who aren't registered there. If anyone sees anything they like, btw, let me know. I can usually be persuaded into commissions ;)
This was made from a pattern by
darthtigger, and I absolutely love it. The only drawback was that my mother saw it and her immediate reaction was "ooh, I have the same netbook as you - could you make a sheep-shaped one, please?" o.O

I'm immensely proud of this little bag, not only because it's so cute, but because I managed to make and sew the lining for it all by myself! I'm kind of in love with the fabric and might have to go back for more. The pattern is by Alice at futuregirl.com

I made this shawl for the
help_haiti auction, and it turned out huge and snuggly and soft. The pattern is by Red Heart. It's made of cashsoft dk, which was a joy to work with, and I'm definitely making myself something out of the leftovers. The teaspoon gives you an idea of the scale.

I actually stopped a few rows short of the bottom, because I was worried about running out of yarn. It still looks pretty good, though!

Also for
help_haiti, I made this little army of octopuses. Aren't they cute!? The pattern was a free one from someone at Ravelry.

The birdie is a stashbuster and adorable! Pattern by Lucy at Attic24. I'm generally less keen on sewing things onto crochet (I can never seem to get them symmetrical) but it didn't seem to matter for this one.

My current projects are finishing the enormous bag for my mother and lining it, another cute bag in a different yarn as a present for a friend (the one who convinced me to buy the lining fabric - guess what's going in this bag!), a ripple blanket and *something* with a bunch of sample hexagons that I made, then decided wouldn't be good for a blanket after all. It's nice to have a whole bunch of things to work on - suits my stunned-duck attention span...
