Confused yet?

Things here are still somewhat unsettled, but this made me smile today and I thought it would appeal to some of you.



It's actually a pretty good explanation of the whole damn thing and told me some stuff I didn't know.

Papery things you might like:

Yakawonis. Amazing anatomy designs in paper.

Cut out art that has to be seen to be believed. Stunning, detailed, imaginative work.

Huh. Normally I'm not a fan of altered books because they feel disrespectful to me, but most of the time the book is used strictly as medium without regards to its original existence. Those cutouts are different, and they don't make me cringe in the same way. I especially like the Organic Chemistry one with the butterflies made out of molecular diagrams.

That video is great! The bit about England likes to pretend it's an island in the mid-Atlantic made me LOL.

The cut outs feel almost like they're letting you see a new aspect of the book, rather than bein disrespectful, as you say. Like she's somehow giving them new life.
