That *is* a big deal, and I'm so excited that you could do that for yourself. :)
It seems like the bullet journal concept is best approached from a DIY/ adjust accordingly angle. Personally, I dig the indexing system and creation of visual/color-coded shorthand, and the process of tasks. The month pages aren't something that really works for me - I have a monthly calendar insert and a desk-sized calendar to track time-bound events/tasks. Which is still not perfect, but functions relatively well. I'm so interested to hear/see how the updated system works out for you.
Stickers and washi tape are super useful for covering up re-scheduled events. Also, they are shiny.
