Um, I'm winning points for incompetence here. The reaction post was supposed to go in Torchwood meta, not my personal journal. I was going to put a tentative opinion piece in here at some point. Probably.

But there you all are, replying away! Gosh. You must have thought I was being more random than usual...

I'm going to repost to torchwood_meta, linking to all you lovely people. Or I might just link it straight to here and let people slog it out in my journal for once.

'tis nice to see you all! Will try to be more coherent tomorrow when I'm not trying to reconstruct the history of Oxford's libraries. Not for the faint hearted...

I had considered prefacing my comment with 'Did you mean to post this at torchwood_meta, but then I couldn't think of anything relevant to say and thought 'what the hell, wait for someone else to comment.' And then it became an interesting discussion. :-)
