I also can't usually read House/Cameron (well, not without needing an insulin shot afterward) and this is nothing like that. This is lovely, and you made me feel very much how Cameron wants what she cannot have, and her realization that she will never have it doesn't hurt -- it's the most logical conclusion. It's just so perfectly House that he'd allow her to help him and then insult her. With everyone except Wilson, he only takes. Only with Wilson does he give of himself.
