*prods flist*

Anyone alive out there? It's all gone quiet... Well, apart from on the building site next door where it sounds like they're banging Thor's hammer against the scaffolding.

But the sun is shining, I got my Latin fic done, I cracked and bought myself 'real' coffee so I don't have to drink fairtrade instant any more (*shudder*), I'm reading some fun genfics over at [livejournal.com profile] sga_genficathon*, there is hope on the horizon, my Big Bang story is coalescing into something writable, and Virgin radio are playing "Two Princes" which makes me feel 16 again. (they've followed it up with an hour of awesome tunes *sings quietly to self while dancing in chair*) ETA: Ooh, also, I'm happy because we've belated realised that Hotel Babylon is brilliant and fun and something we both like, and has Lucy Saxon in! We're so going to have to find the first two series now.

What's making you happy today?

Also - people who have friended me lately, drop in and say hello! I have coffee (see above) and biscuits and would love to meet you properly :) Tell me something random about yourself. What's your favourite ice-cream flavour? What's the craziest colour you've ever dyed your hair? Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Is the glass half-full or half-empty? Superman or Batman? And lots of other questions...

Geez...can you tell I'm bored?

*Go have a read! Author guessing is now open :D

The sun is shining, the open air pool at the gym is open for the next however many months, and it's Girls' Night Out in London for me tonight... and among other things making me happy, I have tickets for the Vanity Fair exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, and the Cranach exhibition at the Royal Academy a week on Saturday!

I'm around...

Today, I am being made happy by Seth Lakeman's folk music, my new 1950s style summer dress, a chai latte, and something involving pesto & mozzerella.

Cheers for real coffee, always better than instant!

And since I'm crazy bored as well: caramel | white blonde | smooth | depends what's in it | Batman.

That's a great list! May there be many more days of sunshine, even if I do have to close my blinds to avoid being blinded :)

Those exhibitions sound great. *pootles off to look them up*

Me, I'm home ill, and dithering about whether to come in tomorrow or not (plus point - I get to sleep, minus point is that I will be [livejournal.com profile] knirirr-less till 11.30pm, and I will miss our final Thursday Dinner before term).
I don't like peanut butter at all.

I recently bought some of Twining's Chai tea bags and was instantly addicted. I'm also addicted to dress buying, but the other half keeps looking the wardrobe with a mournful expression, so I probably need to stop. :)

White blonde? Woah. Brave woman...

Oh yuk, you poor thing. Sleep is good, but it's always a pain when it makes you miss things you want to do. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm not keen on it myself, except on crumpets for some reason...

Ooh, thanks. I've seen Cranach pictures without knowing I'd seen them, if you see what I mean, and I'm seriously tempted by the Vanity Fair exhibition - looks fantastic.

*grin* I shall watch the skies nervously.

Ooh, are they nice? I shall have to get some then, I'm out of looseleaf chai tea at home.

Ah, but dresses are lovely. And shopping for them can be very theraputic :)

White blonde was a stupid idea, 'cause I'm naturally quite a deep brown, so getting rid of it has been a nightmare...

Would you like a:
Tshirt(18)?
mug(5)?
program(10)?
keychain(3)?

If Tshirt, what size? (mens and women's sizes) also, Pink, Black, or Blue (with no picture),

if Black, this picture or this one. The first has the tourdates/locations on the back, the second nothing on the back.

I was happily surprised at how good the tea bags are. I'd only had Chai lattes, so wasn't sure what it'd be like as tea, but I've fallen in love with it.

Dresses are wonderful, and I keep thinking I should get some more 'practical' cotton ones for work. Much better in the summer :)

Eep. Sounds...dramatic. And annoying!

Actually the keychain would be great, thanks! Do you and [livejournal.com profile] kijikun have t-shirts? cos I'd definitely recognise you then... ;)

Hello! Let's see...it's sunny, I'm taking half a day off revision (living dangerously here *g*), I get to go back to university in just over a week and I have a smooth peanut butter sandwich! Also, I'm looking up more poetry for poetry month. Life is good right now :)

Mm, real coffee... *craves*

We do have t-shirts. I'll wear mine. Kiji was planning on looking a bit more 'oxfordish' as she says.

Will definitely pick up a keychain for you. :D

I shall definitely have to go buy some then :)

H&M have got some really nice cotton-y summer dresses at the moment, not overly impractical and very pretty (and not too bad price-wise either), if that helps! I think they'd be ok in a working environment.

It's been both dramatic and annoying, but I haven't learned my lesson 'cause I really want to go lilac on my gap year...

When we got into revision season, our tutors gave us very stern advice:

"Don't work more than 5-6 hours a day, and make sure you do your washing and get some sleep."

That's the kind of advice I can live with :)

When you only drink instant, you forget the difference between the two. *cuddles coffee* Wonderful :D
