Beginning...

And so when you decide to open one of these things, you need to start to think of things to put in it...

As you can probably tell from the auspicious, witty and cogent beginning, I love writing.

Actually, the question then becomes 'why open a livejournal at all?' Because I think I can rant better than Jeremy Clarkson? Because my ego needs a bit of a boost? Because having acquired a new mobile and MP3 player, I feel I only need a blog to complete the must-have set of accessories for the 21st century woman?

Possibly all of the above, although given the new mobile is a bit advanced for me, that one doesn't really count.

Whether I manage to acquire an interesting enough life to actually maintain one of these things remains to be seen. Although if I do acquire an interesting enough life, I'll probably find I don't have time to keep up with the blog. Such is the way of these things.
