Come on in - this isn't the kind of virus you catch over the internet

The cold has added a cough to its list of tricks, so I'm spending the day in bed, under a duvet and a big fluffy blanket, with a few stuffed dogs and a gorilla (also stuffed, just in case you were worried). The upside of this is that I should be fine for work tomorrow. The downside is Oh Good Grief So Bored. I've got the restlessness that I always get when a story is finished but I don't know what to write next, where I sort of wander round vaguely prodding things in the hope they'll react. It's not working so far.

Therefore (and since I haven't done one for ages) I'm throwing open a drabble fest. I'm definitely out of the drabble-writing habit, and it'd give me a complete break while my brain re-charges.

Prompt me, people! I'll write for Doctor Who, Torchwood, Stargate: Atlantis, Discworld, House (S1&2 only, sorry), Sapphire and Steel and Buffy. If you know I know another fandom, feel free to ask, although I make no promises :) Just give me at least two of fandom/characters/prompt and I'll see what I can do.

If anyone needs me in the meantime, I'll be over here downing hot lemon and honey like it's going out of fashion. Hope everyone else is having better days!

Oh dear

This cannot end well.

I just spent the last 10 minutes watching NCIS clips on YouTube. I'm not totally new to it, thanks to random TV viewing and my flist, but it was so much more fun than I thought it was going to be. The characters are great - McGee is much more fun than I remembered him being, and Abby is all kinds of awesome - and my love for David McCullum still endures. It would be so, so easy to get hooked on this.

Look, brain, I promised Z I'd watch due South, okay? DO NOT WANT ANOTHER FANDOM.

So. Very. Doomed.

I'm going to work on my drabble fest (still open for prompts although expect delays - my comment notifications are non-existent right now) and pretend that I didn't see anything...

ETA: House-fen: If I'm looking to get my House-squee back, and if I happen to have on loan the S3 DVDs, which episodes should I watch. I'm thoroughly spoiled, so don't worry about that, and I want to get my enthusiasm back by watching the good episodes and avoiding the harshing ones. So which should I pick? Help!

Yes, I know, it's the moment you've all been waiting for. *drum roll* This is what happens when you let two crack-writers loose with Googledocs and Photoshop. Did anyone really think this would end quietly?

Some personal notes: In the post at the comm, Grey describes this as a Multimedia fic, and certainly when we started, I don't think we realised how important the pictures were going to be for making sense of the words. Everything about this fic has been fun, from the cracked out ideas we started with, to the working out of the details, to the teaminess that we both wanted to keep central to the whole thing. I love talking to people, I love sharing fannishness, and I love collaborating, so this fic was a joy to write. Grey and I kept having to pinch ourselves (and each other) because we were definitely having too much fun. Hopefully some of that fun and joy has bled into the story.
