1. It's always fun to start the day with a survey telling you that, despite pouring your heart and soul into a thing for 5 years, the people you look after still don't think you're doing a good enough job, but you don't know why they think that. Awesome.
2. On the plus side, today I'm merely tired. I made the mistake of attempting to replace my bloodstream with coffee yesterday, when I know that there's nothing at all that will lift a settled brain fog. You just have to wait for it to pass. I have a bit of a caffeine hangover today, but while I'm tired, at least I can actually function.
3. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who left me happy things yesterday. They boosted my spirits hugely, and I'm bookmarking everything to come back to ♥
4. WEEKEND. I couldn't be more ready for the weekend if I tried. We're pretty busy, so if I'm slower than usual to reply to anything, that's why. I need to do a whole heap of cooking, and we're actually going out for lunch. It's something we've barely done in the last 2 years. Let's hope I remember how to social.
5. I started reading Wizardry By Consent, or rather listening to the podfic yesterday. I'm reccing it even though I won't be finishing it - Peter/Nightingale is an absolute NOTP for me, and I only checked the tags after I'd started listening and picking stuff up - because it's beautifully written and if you're okay with the pairing, I think it would be an excellent read.
ETA: 5a. I have reset my LJ password, so should be able to reply to folks who prefer to comment there. But. Er. Does anyone know why it's suddenly talking to me in German, randomly???
