SNOW!!!!

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about the snow today! I walked to work through it - it was over my ankles at some points - had it falling on me the whole way and I just couldn't get a silly grin off my face! At all!!

Tried to upload pictures into this entry. Couldn't. Tried to create a new userpic. Couldn't.

So you're all just going to have to go here to see what I did before 8.15 this morning. I think the ducks may get confused, especially as the river is frozen...

It was fantastic early this morning, six and a half inches give or take as far as the eye could see. Your snowman is very cool, I made one too...I called it Pierre and gave it a fir mustache

Ours is called Larry, because he was fairly lopsided at one point, and "Larry the lopsided snowman" just had a kind of ring to it. A kindly neighbour through us down (we live in flats) the tomato-eyes and carrot-mouth - didn't think of a moustache! Very cool :) although now it is getting rather melty...

Awww, you're lucky. It was perfect snow for snowman making this morning, wasn't it? Unfortunately, all I did with it this morning was sweep it off my car so I could get to work. I hate having to go to work early, it spoils all the fun of snow when you have to drive in it.

It was absolutely perfect :D The roads in Oxford were covered in a horrible slush - everyone was driving really slowly as it looked really treacherous. Apparently it's now starting to freeze...

I walked all the way to my friend's house this morning because school was cancelled, stopping to throw snowballs at my sister and make the occassional snow angel. As a result, I arrived at my friend's soaking wet, covered in snow, but with a big grin on my face! I'm such a little kid when it comes to snow. :D

If you go to news.bbc.co.uk (UK only - sorry US guys!) on the front page, there's a great picture of 3 snowmen on the steps of the Martyrs' Memorial in Oxford - I think there will have been lots of college snowmen as well!

Oh yeah, I was watching the BBC London news at lunchtime -- there were some fantastic pics of snowmen and little kids! This morning, there was even a little boy trying to sledge down a road on the snow!

yup, that's me - the original idea was to make him as tall as me, but my husband had to go to work :) Can't wait to see if he's still standing tonight!

And he's still there this morning! His face has fallen off, but someone had given him a scarf, so I guess that makes up for it :)
