Firstly, this post comes with an apology for being so rubbish at reading and commenting lately. I'm trying to do a part-time MA, two full time jobs in four days a week, have some kind of social life and remind my husband what I look like! I normally get the chance to wander round, sticking my nose in places, but it's just not been possible recently. Plus, my plot bunnies have been multiplying at an alarming rate, and I've got 2 deadlines for challenges that I haven't started, and a self-imposed deadline for a series *sigh*. One day, I will learn...
Once they recruit someone into my old job, things should calm down, and once TalkTalk sort out their own incompetence, we will have broadband, and all will be well with the world.
Actually, everything feels pretty good today anyway :)
Due to an unfortunate series of circumstances (not unfortunate for us!), the other half and I were offered a night in a nice hotel in Bath, which is one of our favourite places in the whole world. And once we got there, we had dinner at what is my new favourite restaurant! It's called Cafe du Globe, and is really central, friendly and does seriously good food. We both quite like Moroccan food, and cook a few dishes at home. It tells you how friendly the people are that when I asked about the lentils in our mezze, the waiter gave me the recipe! Just fantastic - if you are within 100 miles of this place, go!
Other than that, enormous thanks to all who have been so nice about 'The Waiting Years' (esp
nnwest - cheers, my dear!), and, House-friends, there is a story brewing that should get written once I can retrieve the dvds from the various relatives who have also become addicted! Oh, and there's a criminal minds epic and a challenge story in the pipeline. And I hope to restart some original writing soon, too. And-
Actually, I think I'm going to stop there... :)
