Okay, so that's not something you want to wake up to.

Here I am, thinking I'll just check my emails and flist before getting some writing in, only to turn on the computer and find that SGA is cancelled. I'm more gutted than I thought I'd be - I wandered out of previous fandoms before they could be cancelled (X-men, Buffy, Angel, House) so this is a bit...weird. For now, I'm going to wander into the various "Save Our Show" comms, read comfort posts and try to get some work done on my stories. The computer I'm using has kind of slow internet, so I'll get round to everyone's posts from last night later on today. Soemtimes I hate timezones, because I miss all the stuff overnight, but at least it gives me a chance to process and I love waking up to lots of emails!

In other news, we should get the internet today, and I only have 2 days of work before I have a week off. Then I only have 8 days of work before I leave this job. Eek! My head is an utter mess at the moment, so if anyone's seen the broom, please pass it along.

I also rediscovered the other day a book my mother gave me in my stocking last Christmas. Since it amuses me beyond all reason, I thought I'd start sharing it with you each day. Normally, I'll restrain myself to one quote, but these are the ones that are making me giggle at the moment.

Bloody Typical. I'm just starting to get into SGA and TPTB decide it's to go pffft. Grrr. Still at least they've got the green light to continue it with movies. I discovered the Dresden Files series after that had been cancelled too.

What?! Really? Usually I'm not surprised, but... it was going so well! And what else does the SciFi Channel have with a huge instant fanbase? I wasn't as fond of SGA as I was of SG-1, but recently I'd really started to feel more connected to it. Sigh.

It's just gutting because, as you say, it was going so well. S3 was a bit ropey, but S4 rocked and S5 has been so damn awesome. But they hit the magical 100th this season, so I guess they thought they could quit without losing money. *sigh* I became way more fond of SGA than I ever was of SG1, because they seemed willing to be braver with the characters - in some ways, it reminded me of DS9, which was the shadow to TNG's shininess.

*shakes head* I really, really didn't expect to be this gutted. Really not.

But yes, the quotes are awesome! I have more than enough for one a day for about a year *beams*
