Hee. Well don't tell me which you think! I'll be intrigued to know if you got it right...
I'm finding that I'm having to go back to first principles with the character and working out how he and the story work together, if that makes sense. Not just "who is he?" but "if he's like this, what does that do for the story?" and "if I want to show this, who does he have to be?" It's long and frustrating but probably worth it.
You mostly won't see me at the NaNo meets because I can't make them! I'm in London for the next two Saturdays. Maybe I'll come to the very last one to celebrate/commiserate ;)
