Did someone set fire to Hertford College this morning? I shall be very cross if it was the Bodleian - readers have to promise not to kindle a flame in there and everything. But as I came back from my lunch hour, there were 2 fire engines and one of those engines with a lift on top, parking outside Hertford.

Has someone been playing with matches again?

God knows how much Oxford has to pay Pyrotec, I think most of the colleges/depts are 3 engine places.

Must cost us a fortune. Mind you, I got fined when I set off the smoke alarm with my stir fry in my first year, so the college gets something back...
