Day #3. Awesomely sleepy

My body apparently thinks it's time for bed, although it's early even for me. But I'm not going to argue since it has a tendency to cheat and make me fall asleep anyway. Fortunately my other half was there to save me faceplanting into my dinner.

Despite being pretty dopey for most of the day, I am definitely awesome, and my patience levels were incredible. I spent 10 minutes on the phone talking a bemused reader through website procedures, I carried out two of the procedures that normally make me flap (just library things, but admin is not my strong point), I took the time to make sure that a visiting reader understood what was going on despite her very little English and I finished a job that's been hanging over me for about 6 weeks.

\o/ I might actually be awesome at my job after all. That's quite exciting, really.

Oh, and I'm planning on writing a Criminal Minds/Numb3rs crossover from Charlie Eppes' POV despite never having written Numb3rs fic before. Which is exciting for me, at least :)

Patience & achievements at work are indeed make you Awesome (and yup that deserves to be capitalised lol).

Today I am awesome because I actually got out of bed despite being in pain and wanting to hide from the world with my friend the duvet monster. Also, I posted to the gen battle and in a fandom I've not written before (csi: miami) :) So today, I'm triple awesome *grins*

Yay for job-related awesomeness!

I am awesome today as I a) made enough payments to some of my credit cards to clear them b) destroyed said credit cards and c) rang up the card companies to close my accounts. It's the third that is most awesome making for me as I hate ringing those sorts of places as they always have automated switchboards that I can't hear properly, which really stresses me out.

I am also awesome for making one of my flist smile.

I was awesome today for sticking to my eating/exercise plan. I also went to the grocery store with $14.47 in reserve in the grocery budget and spent exactly $14.47. I still have no idea how I managed that.

I am awesome today because instead of bitching about how useless our online bookshop is, I printed off a specific example of how it's useless and asked my manager to email a head office bod about it explaining how it impacts on customer service in the actual shops, then made sure she sent it. I also forwarded her an email from a customer who thanked me for providing her with some information and explaining how to place an account order. I'm tired of our shop going unnoticed and/or getting blamed, so today I did stuff to help rectify that :)

I am awesome because I walked to the post office, sent two drawings out, and then came home and figured out how to NOT have to do this big commissioned canvas painting down in the cold basement.

And then I went and got the stuff I need so I can begin the painting tonight.

And I have already cooked a nice dinner and have eaten well, which means that if I wish to continue being awesome I need to make some prep sketches for that canvas now. :-)

I was definitely having one of those days that was either going to drive me insane or I could rise to. Having this kind of reminder makes it easier to rise to it and give myself credit, rather than let it wear me down :)
