Look at that, guys! That's nearly a week of being awesome! Go us!

Also, O HAI NU FOLKS I C U THAR.
Translation: hello, people who've friended me recently! Yes, I spam, but I also know how to use an LJ-cut for long posts. Hope I'm not swamping your flist too much. Do drop by to say hi, to me or anyone else you see in passing. We're a friendly bunch, and don't bite unless invited to do so.

Seriously, I love to talk (in case you hadn't picked that up yet) and I'd love to 'meet' you properly. The number of comments I'm getting at the moment is making me giddy - it's an inbox full of awesome! - and there's always room for more.

How am I awesome today? I cleared my one really, really boring job \o/ Yes, there are still 3 more to do, but I cleared that one and it makes me happy. Ooh, and I wrote up my thoughts on the latest Criminal Minds episode. Expressing an opinion isn't actually something that comes naturally to me, without much supporting evidence and checking what everyone else thinks, so writing them is actually kind of a challenge. Hence the awesome! I plan to go home and be awesome by cooking Moroccon Chicken for dinner.

Not much because I'm still a bit blank right now. Y'all did great yesterday - how are you awesome today?

For anyone coming in late and wondering why the mutual appreciation society, see here

Clearing a boring job is most definitely awesome \o/

I am awesome today because I recognised when I'd reached my limit and walked away? Leaving at lunctime and spending the afternoon with the dog was a much better way to end my week :)

I wrote 2000 words of the SGA fic I WILL FINISH OR DIE TRYING AND IT LOOKS LIKE I MIGHT NOT HAVE TO DIE AFTER ALL \o/!!!!

(umm, yes, I am very giddy, because this is the first substantial bit of anything I have written in a month. Not-writing drives me not-so-slowly insane, and I am feeling SO much more balanced and myself now. Also I have been writing this fic for over a year and so badly want it done so I can share it...54K words of Rodney-angst and counting...)

Moroccan Chicken sounds delicious, and I am in awe of your cooking skills (anyone who can do more with a stove than scramble an egg awes me.)

Okay, I will stop filling your comments with blather and go to bed now!

iffen you check the doc link previously given, there may in fact be 2000 extra words at the end. However they are entirely unedited words, so read at your own discretion; I will alert you when there is a more fitting offering ^^;

Clearing out a boring yet necessary task is always awesome.

The awesome today is mostly related to being a good cat-mom and making a special trip to buy food on sale for Zippy the Wonder Cat. :D

Okay. I was awesome yesterday because I sent an inquiry email to a total stranger who is a high-end builder and designer. This was a referral I had from an electrician who said, "You should meet this guy."

I may have mentioned how hard it is for me to contact strangers? EEEP.

And this morning I've already done it again, another referral from the same person. I called, got her machine, left a cheery message with my website address so she can see what I do.

EDITING to add that the designer/builder already got back to me, saying he's "up to my eyeballs in work" but will make time to look at what I do after he's cleared off the bulk of the deluge, over the weekend. This fellow must be good if, in this horrible market, he's that busy.

And I already emailed Bloomington Art Center's director and let them know about a scheduling issue for next session (I'll be in Florida on what's supposed to be the night of my first class) so we can work that out.

So that's two things off my morning list. Now I have to continue the Awesome by making a flyer for animal portraits so I can post that at the barn today when I go for my horse lesson.

Good for you for Adventures in Cooking and for letting yourself put an opinion out there. Not to mention getting a Boring Job done -- it's like chasing away a black cloud.

Opinions can be *hard.* Awesome! And I hope the chicken is wonderful - I'm sure it will be. Especially if it reminds you of Morocco!

I was awesome yesterday because I done some "art" and tried a new thing in the process. Not too awesome yet today, but it will get there.

You are indeed awesome...

And I'm awesome because today I sanded down the newly-plastered walls in what will be my office, and got the first coat of paint on them.

Also, because - well - it seems suddenly everyone wants to give me work. There may be some temporary work-from-home type tech authoring to be done, which if it happens next week will fill the gap while the new job paperwork gets sorted.

Woot! Yay for you clearing the boring job. :)

I am awesome today because I survived five hours in the back of a car. Admittedly, my Walkman helped immeasurably.

I am awsome today because at my two retail jobs we have discount programs, which carry a fee. Well, today, and here's where the awsome comes in: At one I managed to get 4 memberships, while at the other I got 6. Which for me are huge numbers. So I am giddy happy about that.
Oh and I didn't kill my boss for not bothering to mention that the DM and another manager from another store will be coming on Monday to clean the back room for us, cause he's let it get to the point where it looks like a bomb went off in it. Oh and did I mention he's now on vacation, so the DM gets to yell at me for this.

I am officially awesome today because I have baked many cakes, all without any sugar. I have used my silicone cupcake cases, which are awesome.

Go me!

Go you too!
