Low-key awesome

My head hasn't improved much since yesterday, so my awesome has been rather low-key today. But one of the things I've done is not beat myself up for not being 100%. My head is full of grey storm-clouds at the moment. They'll pass when they pass, and there's no point shaking my fist at them. I've put my umbrella up and am waiting it out, as well as stretching this metaphor to breaking point :)

I have also been awesome because I've cooked food for 4 of the 5 meals we're having this week, and have beta'd a story for Z. Oh, and I've hoovered and done laundry and more washing up than I care to think about. All very domestic and all very necessary.

I hope to get my writing brain back at some point, because having so many things to finish is driving me mad. Madder. Whatever. But I'm determined not to stress about them. They'll get written when they get written. No sense worrying at them for now.

So it's been a very gentle kind of awesome today, but awesome nonetheless. What about you guys?

Being patient with yourself is very awesome, as is getting domestic things done. ::hugs::

I exercised outside in my neighborhood today. I've only been going to the gym for months, because after my long winter holiday of daily walks in the woods with the dogs, I couldn't bear the thought of all the noise and traffic and having to make eye contact with people I would encounter here. And no doggies. But today, I was awesome by busting through that.

I never thought I'd get anxious about *being outdoors*, which is the point of walking in my neighborhood. But as with a lot of things, the longer I stay away, the harder it is to get back. It's like writing, actually. And LJ!
