Of the awesome today

There are many things I want to do, including, but not limited to, replying to the 'fannish drift' post (it never ceases to amaze me that other people want to talk about the things I want to talk about. Spooky), writing up some recipes for ricecakefree, and reading some of the things on my 'unread' tag on delicious. Since I'm rather knackered, this is instead going to be a short 'how I was awesome/how are you awesome' post, then I'm going to bed.

Today I was awesome because I went to and stayed at my Slimming World group. Not only had I lost weight, I had a good time \o/ Every week, this is *hard* for me, but I keep plugging away at it, and hopefully it will get easier with time.

What about you guys? Conquer any mountains today?

Oh, and I managed to pick up a copy of Neil Gaiman's 'Stardust' for 50p. Result!

Today I was awesome because I didn't punch manager when she was being an arse broke the 2000 words marker! That's 10% of my Big Bang story written, and yeah, it's not perfect, but it's down on paper (well, y'know, a computer screen) and that is progress, damnit. I'll worry about editing once I'm nearer the end. For now, I just need to write.

Oh, very awesome, especially sticking with your Slimming World group and finding the book. Those are great accomplishments.

I managed, despite the world's longest running head cold, to clean my house, run a few errands and make chocolate chip cookie bars.

It's so weird how I *never* want to go to SW, but *always* love it when I get there. You'd think it would have worn off by now...

I was really chuffed with the book! It's in large print, but that actually made it easier to read on a rattley old bus :)

Trying to make computers talk to each other is worse than trying to get sulky teenagers to talk to each other - definitely a major achievement :D

I got out a whip and a chair (okay, my paints and my f-list) and tamed the Iris Pond commission today, so I feel Very Accomplished Indeed.

It's not finished, but it's getting there, and the client is thrilled with the update photos. So. Tonight I am very very happy.

Today I spoke up in class, even though I didn't have to. \o/ So I had actual conversations in Japanese. And then I wrote a couple of mails to my Keitai Guy - also in Japanese! I also made another impromptu weird-cheap supper, which turned out delicious. And I posted a fic! (Which is something I usually only do a couple of times a year, so even though it's short, I think it's rather awesome.) And then I went to a comm and linked to my fic, even though I usually find self-promotion damn near impossible...

Yay! I was feeling kind of annoyed with myself about all the the things I haven't done today, but looking at it like this, I guess I've been pretty good. *g*
