More awesome than I thought
Mar. 12th, 2009 02:18 pmI've kept up daily 'posts of awesome' for nearly a month now, and I'd love to say it was doing me the world of good. The truth is that sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, but hearing how everyone else is awesome? That's very, very good for me. I like to talk (just in case you hadn't worked that out) and everyone encouraging each other, nattering away in comments and generally being chatty around me does me more good than I can properly say.
Today I am awesome because I got out of bed and came to work. Right now, that feels pretty damn huge.
Anyone else out there being awesome? Come tell me about it.
When you know how these memes work, you can totally cheat at them, but still. This is what I got without cheating. I'm so replacing my profile with the ENTP description. It's more accurate than anything I could write there.

| You Are An ENTP |
![]() You are charming, outgoing, friendly. You make a good first impression. You possess good negotiating skills and can convince anyone of anything. Happy to be the center of attention, you love to tell stories and show off. You're very clever, but you are not disciplined enough to do well in structured environments. In love, you see everything as a grand adventure. You enjoy taking risks for love. And if things don't work out, you're usually not too much worse for the wear! You would make a great entrepreneur, marketing executive, or actor. At work, you need a lot of freedom to pursue your own path and vision. How you see yourself: Analytical, creative, and peaceful When other people don't get you, they see you as: Detached, wishy-washy, and superficial |

Date: 2009-03-12 02:58 pm (UTC)And your awesome is definitely high on the scale. It's sometimes a very, very difficult thing.

Date: 2009-03-12 03:08 pm (UTC)I think people like to be good and generous but often need hitting with the clue-stick to get there ;)

Date: 2009-03-12 03:20 pm (UTC)You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends.
You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority.
Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives.
You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You're quite the storyteller!
In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart.
You often don't follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. You break a lot of hearts.
At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do.
You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.
How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding
When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused
As for awesome - yeah. This week I have been awesome squared. I got the job! I get to stay in Japan! I have midnight conversations on the phone - in Japanese - with random boys from chance meetings in the rain...! \o/ Life is being very generous in its helping of "interesting", I think. An I am responding by being awesome!

Date: 2009-03-12 04:26 pm (UTC)It's interesting, you know. Statistically, 'N' type people only make up 15% of the population, but they seem to be all over my flist. I wonder if we're drawn to the internet or each other or what. There's lots of 'S' types too, but definitely more Ns than I would expect. Intriguing...

Date: 2009-03-12 05:16 pm (UTC)I wish I could remember what I got the one time I took the long and serious version of this test - right now I can't even remember the proper name for it. Ack. But - I swear I've changed enough that I now test as a different personality type before. It would be interesting to know. These things do describe one fairly well, after all...
Whatever the 'N' type is - fandom seems to be... I don't know if "genetic" is the right word, but you either get it, or you don't. Almost every single fangirl I know, they can describe that one moment they discovered that there were others just like them, and it all went click and they never looked back. That's what happened with me. So maybe - could whatever it is that makes us click with fandom be connected to what kind of personalities we test as?
And now I sleep! XD

Date: 2009-03-12 06:13 pm (UTC)I am awesome this week as I've been cycling even if it's only to and from the train station, and today I am because I knew my stuff well enough to challenge the Immediate Life Support trainers (is fun doing that).

Date: 2009-03-13 01:17 am (UTC)I've had vertigo 24/7 for 16 monthsstate of being, where I can only manage to do two things in a day, I accomplished many things like a healthy person does, yesterday: INCLUDING multitasking and not forgetting things. So, today I got to relax. See my to-do list here:
