jadesfire: Bright yellow flower (Random - Gwen Adrift)

I've kept up daily 'posts of awesome' for nearly a month now, and I'd love to say it was doing me the world of good. The truth is that sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, but hearing how everyone else is awesome? That's very, very good for me. I like to talk (just in case you hadn't worked that out) and everyone encouraging each other, nattering away in comments and generally being chatty around me does me more good than I can properly say.

Today I am awesome because I got out of bed and came to work. Right now, that feels pretty damn huge.

Anyone else out there being awesome? Come tell me about it.

When you know how these memes work, you can totally cheat at them, but still. This is what I got without cheating. I'm so replacing my profile with the ENTP description. It's more accurate than anything I could write there.

You Are An ENTP
The Visionary

You are charming, outgoing, friendly. You make a good first impression.
You possess good negotiating skills and can convince anyone of anything.
Happy to be the center of attention, you love to tell stories and show off.
You're very clever, but you are not disciplined enough to do well in structured environments.

In love, you see everything as a grand adventure. You enjoy taking risks for love.
And if things don't work out, you're usually not too much worse for the wear!

You would make a great entrepreneur, marketing executive, or actor.

At work, you need a lot of freedom to pursue your own path and vision.
How you see yourself: Analytical, creative, and peaceful

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Detached, wishy-washy, and superficial

I am awesome because last week I decided to blow on the dying embers of the recycling program I started for St. P's. "Ask and you will receive" kicked in, and I found three crates of empty ink and toner cartridges on the front steps a few days later. The last box is being mailed out to a vendor today, and the stuff left on steps should net around $70 for the church.

Things like that reaffirm my sneaking suspicion that most people are good and generous. :)

I think people like to be good and generous but often need hitting with the clue-stick to get there ;)

I am awesome because I figured out a way to finally do the [livejournal.com profile] livelongnmarry prompt/project I'm way overdue on, plus put to practice some of the skillset I learned earlier this week. \o/

And your awesome is definitely high on the scale. It's sometimes a very, very difficult thing.

*g* thanks. It certainly feels like a major achievement.

Cool! And I am not entirely unsatisfied with what the quiz-thing whipped up for me, either:

You Are An ENFP
The Inspirer

You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends.
You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority.
Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives.
You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You're quite the storyteller!

In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart.
You often don't follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. You break a lot of hearts.

At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do.
You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.

How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding

When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused

As for awesome - yeah. This week I have been awesome squared. I got the job! I get to stay in Japan! I have midnight conversations on the phone - in Japanese - with random boys from chance meetings in the rain...! \o/ Life is being very generous in its helping of "interesting", I think. An I am responding by being awesome!

You are AWESOMESAUCE SQUARED this week :) Definitely.

It's interesting, you know. Statistically, 'N' type people only make up 15% of the population, but they seem to be all over my flist. I wonder if we're drawn to the internet or each other or what. There's lots of 'S' types too, but definitely more Ns than I would expect. Intriguing...

And yes, going to work when you don't want to definitely scores highly on the awesome-o-meter *hugs*

Those letters continue to mean nothing to me for some reason, so I can't remember what I got before, but on this test I came out as ISFJ, which (I found by searching old gmail notifications) is what you pegged me as. The description on the typelogic site is pretty good. (ETA - ISFJ is all the opposite letters to yours, isn't it? Interesting.)

Here's a GOOBA for making it in and getting through work. That's a big achievement.

Ooh, that's kind of cool. My mum's ISFJ too, so I know you are naturally lovely and wonderful people ;) I find it interesting and (for me) helpful to understand that some of my problems with the world *are* in my own head - I just don't think like other people, and I find it helpful to be reminded of that!

*puts GOOBA on mantlepiece* thanks. It was definitely a day when I wasn't sure I was going to get one...

When you ensure you get to work no matter how much you don't want to, that is truly awesome. It would be so much easier to not bother.

I am awesome this week as I've been cycling even if it's only to and from the train station, and today I am because I knew my stuff well enough to challenge the Immediate Life Support trainers (is fun doing that).

I am awesome because in my current vertiginous I've had vertigo 24/7 for 16 months state of being, where I can only manage to do two things in a day, I accomplished many things like a healthy person does, yesterday: INCLUDING multitasking and not forgetting things.

So, today I got to relax. See my to-do list here:

I am awesome because I finally got around to watching Transformers. Which is a fairly good film, as long as you ignore the plot holes, the science failure and the urge to mutter 'Idiot government forces' every five minutes.

Also, I sorted out my sock drawer and cleared down my ringbinder so that I actually have a sensible amount of paper in it, rather than it being filled to overflowing.
