Monday musings and quiz
Mar. 26th, 2007 07:55 am[Note: US guys, I'd really appreciate some help with the questions below... Thanks! :D]
My body clock is rather confused and not just because of the "Spring Forward" thing at the weekend, although that didn't help. It's weird leaving home in the semi-dark, just as I'd gotten used to the light. Still, it's all downhill to 21st June, isn't it?
I'm confused because it's Monday morning and I'm sitting at my desk. On a normal Monday, I'd be on a coach to London, happily dozing while listening to The Now Show on my MP3 player. I've got it down to a fine art now. My coat and bag go under my seat, my scarf goes over my legs, my player goes on and I gently drift away. Since Christmas, I've also been using one of those soft eyemask thingummies, which is terminally embarrassing to wear, but helps me sleep. If it does that, then I'm in favour of it.
Instead, this morning I walked through the cold, listening to the compilation playlist I put together. Is is wrong to have Evanescence, Alison Krauss and "I am what I am" on the same list? No? Good. Hopefully I can make today as productive as the weekend. I beta-ed some great stories, broke a huge block on my Las Vegas one and toyed with some ideas for the next Discworld crossover. Any votes for who should give Gwen some advice?
Oh, and while I'm asking questions, I wonder if anyone out there can help with some research...
- I need two songs popular in San Francisco in 1973/4ish. I've chosen "Jean Genie" by David Bowie and "Get it on" by T-Rex, but have a feeling I'm on the wrong continent.
- Where can I find the dollar/sterling exchange rate for the 1970s? Or does anyone happen to know it? (well, you never know until you ask...)
I also found this quiz (under the cut) on
acciochocolate's profile and was intrigued.

The cheat is because I know the Myers Briggs test well, and probably skewed my results to get the type that I know I am. Well, I'm an "ST" anyway. Well, I'm a "T". I come out more or less ambivalent on everything else (or amphibious, as my mother would say). Seriously - technically I'm an ESTJ, but I score under ten for everything except 'T'. Where I score over 50... It's nice to know I can be definite about something ;)
