The world gets stranger any day, if the magazines in the staff room and this are anything to go by.

The other half has probably won a year's supply of smoothies (awaiting confirmation), I've done one of the most surreal pieces of beta-ing ever (top secret - best not to ask), I'm planning a tech-heavy story that's making my head ache and there are almost no readers in the library. *scratches head* Did something happen overnight that I don't know about?

On the plus side, [livejournal.com profile] aeshna_uk has written the most wonderful piece of Torchwood fic, Afore the Dawning of the Day. This the Jack I'm always trying to write and always love to read. Just brilliant.

I'm going to retreat into the nice safe world of cataloguing for a while, I think, until things calm down.

Er . . . congrats on the smoothies?

If you need a hand with the tech-heavy side, ask me. I'm an engineer, so I should know what I'm talking about. Or, if not, I can make up something that sounds plausible ;)

Actually, it's funny you should mention that...I was thinking something along the same lines. Will email you about it tomorrow :) ta muchly.

Oh, and he rang Innocent and apparently it's not a hoax email - he really has won a year's supply of smoothies! As long as they don't deliver them all at once, we should be fine. Apparently, because of the naturalness and whatnot, they tend to ferment and explode if left undrunk for too long... :D

*has visions of exploding smoothies*

Wow. Well, at least you won't be lacking for either fruit or drinks in the year to come :)

Innocent are the best. I love the labels on their drinks - I bought the one the other day that claimed a rubber duck was an ingredient :D

You realise there's interest in an epilogue...and that I may have a plot outline lurking in the scarier recesses of my brain *runs away giggling*

I like the ones about the monkeys' water mine - somone has too much time on their hands. Speaking of which...

An epilogue??? Oh good grief ;)

Does the city empty out Easter week or is that an American holiday phenomenon?

Ummh, smoothies! Believe it or not, I had my first ever smoothie yesterday. It was pineapple, and heavenly. I could seriously get used to that (and be wider than I am tall.)

Innocent smoothies are just wonderful, and they're a fantastic company - www.innocentdrinks.co.uk is a really funny site and they do great work. I shall sit back and wait for them to arrive :)

And we've still got quite a few people in the library, it's just that they all seem self-sufficient, which is more than can be said for the Undergraduates. You suddenly realise how much time you spend explaining things like "no, this is a library, you can't bring your chewing gum/coke/burger (yes, really) in here".
