Well that was needlessly melodramatic
May. 5th, 2009 10:35 amI'm thinking of adding the words "drama llama" to this icon. *rolls eyes*
Just now up in the reading room, I was trying to find a book for a reader, reached above my head and promptly fainted. Mostly fainted, anyway - I don't think I actually passed out, but everything went foggy for a moment and I couldn't stand up. The floor being a better option at that point, I stayed lying down until everything came back out of the dark tunnel. *sigh*
I'd add a *headdesk* at this point, but *facefloor* seems more appropriate. Before anyone asks, I'm fine, thanks, just shaky and woozy, and work have been great. It was the poor reader I felt sorry for, who was left with a half-incoherent librarian while her colleague went to get help. There's someone who's been put off using the library for life. Unless of course he's used to having women passing out at his feet. Heh.
Everyone's been lovely, and I'm going to give myself til lunchtime before deciding whether or not to head home. Honestly, riding a bike is supposed to be good for you, not make you worse!
ETA: Home nao. Lying down and with instructions not to go in tomorrow if I'm still ill. Did I mention that I work with great people?
ETA: Some couples say it with flowers. My husband expresses sympathy with cat macros ♥

Date: 2009-05-05 10:11 am (UTC)And I'd go home if I was in your position. OTOH, any excuse to get me away from work is good for me, so you might have a stronger work ethic than I have.
Feel better soon!!
::hugs::

Date: 2009-05-05 03:17 pm (UTC)I can't stop looking at that cat macro. Considering the trouble we have getting students to follow instructions (and I know big bang participants and library patrons can be similarly troublesome), I kind of want to share it with my colleagues. :)

Date: 2009-05-05 06:43 pm (UTC)*pets you* Your doctor might want to know about this, by the way. Keeling over while reaching for a book is not normal behaviour... Promise me you'll at least mention it on your next visit, okay? *worries about you*
