I think I just ate my body-weight in sausage casserole and chips. At some point I may be able to move again. This point may not come quickly.

Oomph. But yummy.

Moving is overrated. You got your computer and all your friends that live in it, what else do you need?

Unless you want to come and rescue me from under Furrbutt. He's been sleeping on my lap for a half an hour and is HEAVY.

*sends a prod by interweb*

Nope. I don't think that's going to shift him. You could be stuck...

He rolled onto his head and let out a loud purr.

I am doomed. DOOMED!!!!

There is no escaping from a sleeping kitteh. This is very true.

*tickles his tummy*

Er. Sorry ;)

I shall have to tickle yours electronically in the meantime.

Glad to hear it. :)

It's just...we have the chance to adopt a cat and we can't take it and it's making me sad :( But you know, if you can't, you can't.

*pets Furrbutt instead*

Sorry *hugs* Fuzzbutt just ambled off and yelled at me from the kitchen because his treats plate is empty (he's already gotten tuna twice today. I am a wimp at saying no to him)

Aw, I'm sorry. That is sad-making. I hope your situation changes in the future. When I couldn't have pets, my brain started to *make* them, and I would see cats where there weren't any. I learned that I'd better take that into consideration in any future moves, but sometimes you really just can't.

Basil doesn't purr or lie in your lap, but it still needs you. :)

Probably not, although I may go into a chip-induced coma.

And merps. Don't forget those.

...of COURSE I've NEVER disturbed the cat just to hear him merp. What makes you think that?

Oh YES. the Mrrrup? and Brrt? we get when we just innocently went and petted them while they were sleeping or deep in thought. We would never never purposely try to startle them into making that noise! :)

I wish I had sausage casserole and chips. I am trying to think what on earth to make for dinner when what we mostly have is All The Broccoli In The World.

Hee, you're welcome to drive down for a bowlful. J made THE WORLD'S BIGGEST STEW at the weekend, so I've got enough for about 12. Or to fill a freezer drawer. You know. Once I can move again.

Hmmm. Does broccoli cheese work like macaroni cheese? Although even that could wear thin after a while...

It does, but it goes best with pasta and we had pasta bake last night and I had pasta salad for lunch, so am kind of pastaed out now.

Hmmmm. I'm not very good with vegetables except as vegetables so you might be on your own there...

Although I'll be interested to know what you come up with! I don't have *any* ways with broccoli at the moment ;)

Have decided on Thai green curry with prawns and broccoli and noodles, because that's actually quite easy ;-)

For future reference, broccoli can be rather nice in quiche (and you get the childish-amusement of saying you're having "quickie" ;-)
