jadesfireI am all listless and weary tonight, but the words are gnawing at the inside of my brain. Sadly, I can't work out how get them out in an order that makes sense, since I keep trying to write multiple stories at once. This is not going so well.
So, on the basis that you guys know everything, help! Save what is left of my brain from the word ferrets! (like plot bunnies, only more vicious) In the meantime, I'm going to go and wash my hair in the hopes that the ferrets all drown...

"How do you know that's what he said?" He turns so quickly that Teyla is actually startled. "It's not like we've been able to talk to them."
Taking a deep breath, Teyla reminds herself that Ronon has held his temper surprisingly well over the last six months, and that the dam had to break at some point. "Elizabeth told me, Ronon." She says his name firmly, keeping her voice as steady as she can. "Both John and Rodney are in isolation, and there is nothing we can do. They are weak and sick."
"They need us."
"They will need us. Soon." Teyla taps the radio in her ear. "I made Corpsman Nills promise to contact me as soon as they are awake. It is not much longer to be patient."
Shaking his head more out of frustration than disagreement, Ronon drops onto the bed beside her, elbows resting on his knees. "It is when they're right here."
Carefully, Teyla lays a hand on his arm. "I know." Her smile is weak but she forces herself to hold it. "They are home, Ronon. Home."
"Yeah." The word isn't much more than a sigh, but the hand Ronon lays on hers is warm and strong. They have made it this far; they will survive for a little longer.
