Hey, at least I don't need to worry about the number of the episode ;)



#1. I miss blonde!Ruby. She could act. Sorry, that's needlessly blunt, but this Ruby has been annoying me all season. I've always felt like she was reading her lines, and especially up against the boys (honestly, get your minds out of the gutter), she always sounded flat to me. I've been expecting the turnaround all season, so yeah. Not going to miss her.

#2. The world is now allowed to end. The tension between the boys has been unbearable, and those ten seconds at the end were more than enough. I know, I know that the bond has to be stretched to breaking point so that we can see how strong it is, but geez it's been hard work. So as far as I'm concerned, as long as they patch things up, I really don't care if the end of S5 is the end of the world.

#3. Bobby is the awesomest character in a TV show pretty much ever. Castiel comes a close second.

ETA (unrelatedly): I love fangirls, I really do, but seriously, cats are nothing to it when it comes to herding. I really know how these guys feel at the moment. Please don't get me wrong, I ♥ the Big Bang participants more than words, but they (we) also drive me insane. I guess you can't have one without the other!

1. I actually liked this Ruby, and unlike everyone else, I totally trusted her. I really hoped she and Sam would be vindicated by the end of the season. Guess not :-(

1. I wanted to like Ruby, but the actress's style just put me off :( Sorry hon *pets* I actually like her once Lilith was dead and she was all happy - if she'd acted like that for the rest of the season I would have warmed to her and like you, probably would have expected something other than what happened.

1. I miss blonde Ruby too, she just felt so much fiercer, and complicated and real, she never whined and was less obviously manipulative. I thought she was just cooler.

I think fiercer is a good word for it. I always had the feeling that she was really pushing Sam's buttons, whereas the brunette I just found sulky. I'm fairly sure that's just an acting style thing, but the blonde's worked better for me.

...I really should learn some names for the actors in this show, shouldn't I? ;)

Bobby was just...just...*dolphin noises* I love how he gets to be right without being cool and detached, which 'right' characters so often are. He defines awesome.

I was thinking the same thing about Ruby. But Dean was right in that she was leading Sam along. There ws one line I missed, though. When Zacharaih was telling Dean the full plan and Dean asked "Where's God during all of this?" (or close to it) I missed Zach's response.

*nods* I wasn't surprised but I still thought it was really well done. I don't have to *like* the character or the actress to enjoy the story line. I'm fickle like that ;)

Zach's reply was "God has left the building" which is interesting on all kinds of levels.

I can't help thinking that Gen has been playing Ruby like she was just as in the dark about Ruby's end game as we have been. And I don't actually feel like this is outside the realms of possibility. She has been (for two seasons IMO) one of the worst-written characters on TV in a show with some of the best written characters on (network) TV. Which makes her a standout.

I hadn't thought of it like that, but it's a good point about the actors not knowing what's going to happen with their characters. I understand why, but it's made Ruby's performance particularly this season a little...off. If *she* doesn't know where Ruby's going, it must be hard to get that across to the audience.

Even so? I preferred her blonde ;)

One thing I love about Bobby is that he can be there for all of- what? Three minutes? And yet everyone's going "woot! Bobby!" I kind of hope he stays in the background like that. He's much more fun this way :D

But yes, since the boys are back together, I am happy. I'm not anxiously awaiting Sept on pins and needles. When it airs, I'll be happy, but until then? I'm fine.

And Bobby is absolutely awesome. His best bit was early this season, showing the boys the panic room- he had a free weekend. I still crack up thinking about that line.

1. I think I am the only fan anywhere who actually likes both Rubies. I'll miss them.

1. Heh, quite possibly. I think for me, my problem with *this* Ruby was the actress. She looked right, but I found her acting style leaned too far towards sulky for me. I preferred blonde!Ruby's sarcasm :) At least someone likes her!

3. Bobby is so many kinds of awesome, they can't be listed \o/ You know there's a comm for Bobby-fic, right? singer_salvage. A couple of my favourite writers (in any fandom) have stories there, so it's definitely worth a look :D

I saw dark Ruby before I saw blonde Ruby, so that's maybe why I like them both. Dark Ruby was sulky, but that I thought that befitted a demon.
