My brain is not functioning properly right now, so list-form is about all I got.

~ I have new shoes \o/ They are shiny and red. This makes me very happy. There's nothing like new shoes for putting a smile on your face.

~ I still haven't written my [livejournal.com profile] spn_summergen fic. *insert facial expression here*

~ With [livejournal.com profile] bringthehappy winding down, SummerGen soon to be done and other projects on the back-burner, it's just about time to start on [livejournal.com profile] sgabigbang. Which is exciting.

~ I have a crazy-busy week at work, what with one thing and another, so I'm probably not going to be around that much. Also, my mood is bouncing like a yo-yo, which has left me kind of stuck - it's hard to do anything when you know you're going to feel the complete opposite about it in twenty minutes time. I'm trying to get on with what *has* to be done and worry about the rest later.

~ For a few years now, I've had small, insect-bite-type hives break out in various places for no apparent reason. The one on my eyelid was the most fun. In the past week, I've had lots of them and am starting to think it might be time to talk to the doctor about them *scratches* Of course, he's just going to tell me that they're idiopathic, which is a long word for 'we don't know what causes them' but at least I'd feel better about it. It's either that or take the internet doctor's advice and give up...well. Eating, as far as I can see :S

~ I have signed up for [livejournal.com profile] dvd_commentary, because I love taking things apart to see how they work, and stories are no exception. Full information is here, and I'm going to be skimming the author list to see who I like the look of ;)

And just for the record, I am always happy for stories of mine to be played with by other people, in whatever way they want. It's not something I'd ever thought to give permission for before, because I've assumed that no one would be interested (it feels like the height of egotism when I say it, although not when other people do - go figure). Anyway, I'll be adding it to my profile. You know. Just in case.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday! Or as good as you can manage, anyway.

You know, just the other day I had a semi-panic attack about sgabigbang as in wondering when it start and all. Had to go to the comm and check the dates before I realised arts aren't due until October so I could relax. :P

Heh, Grey and I had the same panic! But we're not due til September, so we're okay too. Assuming we write fast... ;)

Considering how fast I churn out "art", I really shouldn't be panicking. LOL!

God, it's been ages since I actually wrote anything, no idea where my writing mojo's disappeared to. :(

My theory is that you can either be busy with fannish stuff (art, writing, whatever) or you can be busy with RL. Everyone seems to be occupied with work/study right now - I know that I just don't have the brain power to put into writing when I've actually been *working* all day.

Can't wait for my holiday!

You are obviously allergic to work. *nods*

I've had a great Monday, thank you. I've had a lovely 2 days showing [livejournal.com profile] fajrdrako around some sights in and around Liverpool and after I waved her off on the train I finally got my free travel pass (for being deaf) which I found out I can use on *any* local bus service in the country! Cool beans. I got lots of freebies in Lush, and happened upon an unexpected George Harrison exhibition in St George's Hall - that was cool as he used to live in my house! the organiser of the exhibition is going to come round for tea sometime...

*does the new red shoes dance of happiness*

*hugs*

I have a secret love of reading dvd commentaries. Mostly its a secret from myself, because I forget it and then don't look for them *is a silly Fish*. I really want to do dvd_commentary this year, but I think I am overcommitted at present. But the challenge does run for a while, so I if I can wrangle things into shape I can add it later.

Hey, maybe you could answer this for me. I was thinking of opening up my fics for the dvd_commentary thing, but someone on my flist said to only do it if I wanted harsh criticism.

Is the commentary concrit or just commentary?

Hmmm...that's a hard one, actually. I think it depends on who's doing the commenting. TBH, I wouldn't expect a random person I didn't know to chance on my fic and pull it to pieces. That could happen, but I wouldn't expect it to.

OTOH, when one of my friends (who happens to be someone I beta for) did a commentary on one of my stories, she *did* pull out some of the weaker points in it, while being pretty positive overall.

So I wouldn't expect harsh criticism, although I might expect concrit. But you might not get any of either!

*laughs* This is very true. Considering how small my current fandom is I'm not sure how many takers there would be. Thanks. :)
