I finally have 250 words of fic that I don't hate, so am pressing onwards. Music is helping, although I am starting to fear for my brain. The music that is inspiring me right now?

Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart

closely followed by

Europe - The Final Countdown.

I wasn't old enough to listen to pop music in the eighties. How did this happen?

If 9 to 5 comes on next, I'm possibly doomed. Although at least my fic will be written...

ETA: *sigh of relief* It's the Manics. That's my teenage years ;)

Bonnie Tyler and Europe are my teenage years. :(

I am seeing the Manics in October. I have to keep saying it because I don't actually believe it yet.

*pets* I love the music, but the Manics, Nirvana and Blur are my generation, I'm afraid. I even always say that eighties music isn't really 'me'. Then I look at my list of favourite tracks.

Oooooh! *is jealous* I have some live sets from various festivals that they've done, which are just awesome.

Hee! I was playing my mother's vinyl at that age, so I grew up listening to Elvis. :)

Not exactly the most subtle music. Clearly bombast works for you. :)

*grin* There's a lot of quiet stuff on my playlist too, but yes, the louder the beat, the more writing I seem to get done. I think they drown out my inner critic ;)
