Sorry to spam everyone with endless requests, but I'm really hoping that this is a simple one. For once, my Google-fu has utterly failed me.

I'm working on AU Children of Earth fic, but can't find any full summaries anywhere - I need a day by day breakdown for the basic events and it just...doesn't seem to be out there.

Help! Am I just being really dim?

Er. Actually, don't answer that.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you!

I think the best resource for you would be to go onto the newsletters and start browsing reviews of CoE for each day. Make sure you're doing it *on* the day, and not in totality.

Naturally you won't find everyone has what you need, but there should be some good reviews that break it down by day and by what's on each day.

That's what I'm here for!

I have a favor to ask in your station as a law librarian: I have a case that I'm interested in looking up, but I don't think it's in our library or in Lexus or Westlaw online. It's a case from England in 1915. I can look up the cite again, to get the exact one, but the fact pattern is similar to a hypo that I"m working on for a memo, and I'm exceedingly curious.

Let me have the citation and I'll see what I can do (although a 'hypo' to me is a low blood sugar episode ;D). We usually use Lexis and Westlaw, but we've got paper resources for that period that might be more useful. I'll look it up when I get back to work and can always scan pages to email to you - our new photocopiers are very shiny like that :D

"Hypo" means fact pattern. I have a memo due friday on this specific pattern, and there's no way this case is in any way helpful for writing it, it's just interesting as a curiosity.

It's possible that I"m not finding it because your citations don't work the same way ours do, but I"ll go back to the ALR and copy exactly what it says and we'll see if you can do anything with it. :) I'm hitting the library in about 1.5 hours once I"m finished with class.

Just to say I am at work today, so if you want to drop me that reference, I'm here for the next 4 hours :)

I won't be at school with enough time to check this citation before you leave work, and I think it's missing a piece (I'm not familiar with your system of citation and only just learning my own), but here's what I wrote down:

Herd v. Weardale Steel, Coal & Coke Co. 8 B.R.C. 886 (1915)

Don't worry if you can't find it, like I said, it's just a curiosity.

Brilliant - that's exactly what I need! The trouble with going AU and being selective is that it's easy to lose track of the sequence of events :S

Thank you :D

Isn't it cool? Although, I'll have to admit I never even *heard* of a lot of the shows he covers!

I'm not sure how much detail you're looking for - if you want the really small stuff included or you're just trying to place what happened on which day. The "Facebook recaps" here are done day-by-day, but they're sort of coded in Facebook speak, so they might only be helpful if you're familiar with that. There is some detail, but it might not be what you're looking for.

ETA - Oh! As usual, Donut is handy with the resources. :)

Oh, those Facebook recaps are awesome anyway, thank you! I don't need huge amounts of detail, but I keep getting my sequences of events mixed up. Timelines are confusing things...
