There's a double meaning in that
I am attempting to fill the bath using the shower. It's taking quite a while, and I kind of feel it should be a metaphor for or statement of something.
Mostly what it is a statement of is "I should put the hot water tank on earlier if I want a bath."
Nevertheless, I can't help feeling that it's the kind of thing that, if used in a story, would hold deep and meaningful significance.
*waits*
Nope. Still just boring...

Whereas some people, once inspiration hits it's like filling a water glass with a firehose. *snorts* People that can toss off forty-seven drabbles in a week or so...

On the plus side, the shower DID fill the bath, and I am warm and relaxed, so maybe the metaphor works out okay after all ;)

I think I'll file this in my 'random little details of life, to maybe add to a story some day, because you know this happened to you so that you could make it happen to a character' list.

Ta Da!
Download link for 'Mount Baden' by Brown Betty (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HICCIQD4)
Once you've had a chance to listen to it, I'll make it public, so please let me know!
Enjoy :)
Re: Ta Da!
I made an [audioarchive page (http://audiofic.jinjurly.com/mount-badon)] for this, which is complete except for the 'comment to the reader' link as there isn't a public post yet. So that'll be very quick to update.
And here's my notes from whilst I was listening (sorry there's not more coherency, but I'm rather brain-dead at the moment):
Ooh! There's Latin at the beginning! I had forgotten that! *hearts Latin read aloud*
I love how, when I listen to your reading, I feel the uncertainty and danger of the war more.
Oooh, the 'death death death' bit (around 5min), ooooh, nicely done! I don't even remember reading that line and yet it's great in the podfic version.
I like how you get across the different personalities of Coveros and Tivel and Vedica.
I love your Arthur & Merlin interactions.
I chuckled at my computer at 'very useful at lambing time'!
And the humor in the second half is even better when read aloud. :)
'I do it to aggravate you' this particular section made me grin fit to split my face.
*hugs podfic*
