Dear Moron,

I can see you from here.* You have just locked your bike to an iron gate that's going to need unlocking some time in the next hour. If the Oxford City Singers have to stand in the rain because of you, you are liable to come back to find one of them has nicked your helmet. Also, the presence of your bike has encouraged another moron to lock their bike to the gate. This should be fun, and you lose another mark for leading other astray.

Seriously, idiot, if you can just clip it to the lock, someone else can unclip it. Also, if you leave it that way up, it will fill with rain.

On second thoughts, nice job on that one.

No love,
Me

*I'm not creepy, I'm just sitting in a cafe opposite the choir venue. Honest.

...as if somehow these are mutually exclusive options!? ;-)

:P

Pret is very handy for St Michael in the Northgate, so it saves me waiting in the wet for our conductor to arrive [/defensive]

Also, it's excellent for people-watching ;)

Heh, a slow handclap does seem rather in order. May his trousers get caught in his gears on the way home.

Thank you! I uploaded some fun ones this time around :)

Something we quickly realised at Uni was that intelligence does not equal common sense.

I have never forgotten this revelation, for it is true. Your post is just further proof.

Oh totally. Working with them every day is actually kind of terrifying. These are the future sollicitors, barristers and law lords of our country.

Be afraid. Be very afraid...

Only the helmet? I'd maybe have been tempted to take the whole bike apart - you think I'm kidding, right? You haven't seen the allen keys and whatnot that live in my boot.

Heh. Sadly, you'd never get your car into the centre of Oxford, so no hope of that one. Otherwise, I'd be sorely tempted...

The image of some guy coming back to his bike and finding only the padlock and the piece it was attached to dangling from the gate amuses me greatly.

I could lend you awesome big-ass bolt cutter we bought at the weekend to free Hubby's old bike from a lock we no longer had the key to, so he put the spiffy new bike in its place.

Ooh, neat. Sometimes I wonder if there's a way to build one into my bike for just such occasions...
