It's February. Shouldn't the snow have stopped by now?
Happy Mondays, people. Well. Possibly.
I'm absolutely knackered owing to lack of sleep owing to constant anxiety dreams. This is what happens when you try to voluntarily go into massive debt.
Translation: Yes, we put an offer on the flat. No, we don't know whether it'll be accepted or not. Yes, I'm already doing my best headless chicken impression.
Other than that, and actually including that, we had a good weekend. Mum's 60th birthday lunch went off without a hitch, and everyone got on really well, considering most people only had her in common. Everyone was very well-behaved and slightly tearful, which was lovely. Yesterday, we mostly pottered and talked (and talked) about the flat to J's parents, trying to get our heads straight about it, without getting our hopes up too much. It's a fine line.
ION,
halfamoon starts today, and there are lots of great prompts for fic and art. From the User Info: "Half a Moon is a fourteen day multifandom challenge celebrating female characters, which will run from February 1 through Valentine's Day." I wrote a few ficlets for it last year, and it's brilliant to see so many stories about the awesome women from our fandoms in one place.
Other than that, life goes on. We ate good food, both at the lunch and at home (Rick Stein's new recipe book rocks), I'm making good progress on my crochet projects, and once I find the last 10 minutes of "The End of Time" (don't ask, but there was yelling involved. in the staff room. with my boss there), I will be all caught up on Doctor Who. Life could be worse :)
What about you lot? Everyone have a good weekend?
