zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Good morning. I think. We've got the edge of the snow that's been blanketing the country again, which mostly means everything is wet, slushy and cold. The perfect Monday morning in other words.
Did everyone have a good weekend? Despite being a little spaced-out right now, I had a lovely time with
aeron_lanart and
laurab1 on Saturday, and am most sad that the Steampunk exhibition is now closed, for it was of teh awesom. Most of yesterday was spent typing (for money, but typing nonetheless) or moping. My brain is stuck in a permanent fug right now - no matter how much I sleep, I just seem to get more tired. I can't work out if I'm sleeping too much, not enough, at the wrong times (I've always been a 'before midnight' person, but those hours are getting fewer right now) or what. I just know that I'm sick of feeling as though someone stuffed my head with cotton wool when I wasn't looking.
I'd love to say "so I'm going to pull myself together and do something about it" but honestly, I don't have the energy right now. So instead, I'm going to slope off and attempt to achieve something so I feel like a little less of a slacker than I do right now.
It has to be said that crossing things off my Big Giant List does make me feel much better, especially on a Monday morning. What about you guys? Any guaranteed pick-me-ups to get a slow week rolling?

It's just raining here and I have to go out with the dog before uni. I was going to write/study and instead I'm recovering from a manic weekend. I have a TW fic I'm struggling to write. It's my last commitment but I'm failing to finish it.
Anyway, *hugs* again.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by

Today I have to post the skirt I sold on eBay, tidy the house, make some furniture, go shopping and watch Being Human. What am I doing?
Sitting in my pyjamas reading LJ... oh and catching up on more Babbage and Lovelace (which apparently my geeky 2 eldest nephews also adore).
Have some Monday Hugs.... ((((Jades))))

I wort 4000 words for a scene that is stuck in my head and has nowhere to go, and which i havn't yet figured out what i am going to do with and i finally got round to putting one of my scribblings up on LJ.. which i am proud off because i don't usually put my drawings up for viewing.. (i have issues) but it was on my list of "to do":D iam trying to get over said issues.
Don't push yourself too hard or you will make yourself depressed more because you are not doing the thing you want to do.. if the big stuff looks too big then try and do the smaller stuff, then you get the boost of knocking the off your list, making your list smaller and more easy on the eye:D

Your drawing is awesome (I managed to miss it in the fug last week :S) and I'm so glad you decided to post it. It can be really hard sometimes, I know - not having written in ages, I'm right there with you - but it's worth it, taking it in baby steps as you say. I've done some little things and amused my colleagues with my giant colourful list. Somehow things are less scary when written in purple felt-tip ;)

Work is okay - we're currently undergoing Project 'Why Desk Jockeys Shouldn't Write Engineering Manuals', and I'm the one who's going through the strip/build of equipment in order to find everywhere they've cocked up.
I'm having the opposite problem with writing - too much to write and not enough time to do it in. There's two fics clamouring for my attention, and three more that are quietly waiting to pounce. At least I won't get bored . . .
