Things for Friday

~ Livejournal has made the banner green this morning. It's slightly disconcerting *prods it*

~ Thank you very much to the Anony Mouse who sent me a sugar bunny. Nom :)

~ It was sunny as I walked in to work this morning, but it's clouded over now. We had proper thunder and lightning last night - I had an incredible view from my window of a single bolt, bright and really quite scary (I let it blow over before leaving work, since I have a paranoia about umbrellas being lightning conductors. It's a thing). As long as it rains while I'm in the office and is clear when I leave, I don't really mind too much.

~ I think most of you know this already, but just in case (because it came up in relation to yesterday's White Collar fic): I always welcome concrit and corrections to my stories. Always. If I disagree, I'll say so, but especially if it's a factual error, please, please tell me. They're normally fairly easy to fix without interrupting the flow of the story, and I hate the idea of putting people off because of a small error. Comments are ♥, especially when people take the time to help.

~ I'm pretty much decided that I am going to sign up for [livejournal.com profile] whitecollar_bb, and probably for Remix as well. I won't be eligible for Yuletide this year, and I like multi-fandom fests, so it'll be fun to sign up for something big like Remix. Apparently I'm all brave this morning, and am trying to work out if I should lie down until the feeling goes away.

I have a work schedule and I'm not afraid to use it - if all goes to plan, I'll be able to finish my 'to do' list by 5 o'clock. *rolls up sleeves* Better get to it.

How's everyone's Friday looking? Plans for the weekend?

I was sitting in the car during the thunderstorm. One rumble of thunder *made the car shake*. Don't want that again, thanks.

According to the BBC, those were "occasional light showers." o_O

I was in the 'occasional light shower'. My coat is still damp after being on the radiator!

I had to find a new hat this morning, also. Not that I don't have plenty, but still. Damp hatband is yucky.

Oh noes! And it's looking pretty ominous this morning as well...

I'm inside now though, and intend to stay that way for a while! And it's not so bad to get wet on the way home.

Eep! If that's a light shower, I'd hate to see what happens when they say we're going to have a storm *takes cover*

Did I mention how chuffed I was about how well your White Collar fic went over? (They need to work on an abbreviation for that because left to my own devices I keep starting typing 'WC' and that's just not acceptable ;)) I've been lurking like a lurky thing and squeaking over your feedback, particularly helpful anonymouse who picked up my beta!fail /o\

Hee, it's cool isn't it! And don't worry about the fail-thing - you don't really even watch the show! It never occured to me that they cut it because they *had* to - I always thought it was more dramatic that way. I've already come up with a work-around that should be fine.

Also YES on the abbrevation. WhCo? Which isn't much better. It's like DW, which can be Doctor Who, Discworld or DreamWidth. Most inconsiderate.

Friday would be better if it weren't gray and drippy outside. *glares at the weather*

Cleaning up today, and company, and then moving stuff around from one room to another tomorrow. Writing, and braiding of thread into cord, and hogging the remote so dad doesn't subject us all to sports all weekend. Possibly working on my jigsaw puzzle. All in all, life shall be good this weekend. *is determined*

I know that grey, drippy feeling well. Roll on spring!

Sounds like a good plan for the weekend :)
