Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner 2018

What’s something you want to see more people doing in fandom? Do you love fiber arts and want to see more fannish crafting? Do you want to make at least one fanwork per month? Do you want your friends to leave comments on each fanwork they consume? Or is there something you’ve tried that you think other people would enjoy as well?

Day 14

In your own space, create your own challenge. Whatever your challenge is, and have fun with it!

My first thought was "er....probably not". I've had or given myself the confidence for everything else so far, but for this one, my mind went blank.

My second thought was "it'll be interesting to see what everyone else has come up with!"

Therefore my third thought was "that's my challenge!"

Not necessarily for the comments on today's post, but for any day so far, go comment on someone's post who you haven't spoken to yet. If you can find a post that doesn't have any comments yet, even better! it doesn't have to be anything long or deep - just the little "ooh, cool" comments that I've had this week have been such a boost.

Or just pick the person below you in today's thread - I know I'm guilty of starting at the top and only getting as far as my own comment. But having people randomly drop in and say nice things has been a highlight of the Snowflake Challenge for me, and I'd love to know other people are getting that as well.

Fly, my pretties! Go out there and spread comment-joy! ;D

Of course, my fourth thought was "quick, get this posted before someone else thinks of it"! But you are all welcome to steal it, if you would like :D

That's a kind idea for a challenge too - very 'passing it forward'. :D

What a lovely challenge. I know I've been guilty of commenting on early responses and not going back to the later ones. I'm going to change that.

This is a great challenge. If people start on the last page of each challenge, I bet they'll find comments without responses, apart from one of the mods, perhaps.

This is an excellent idea! :D And you're not the only one who loves the random warm fuzzy comments that pop up on snowflake posts. :D

I was already doing this - my personal snowflake challenge each year is to comment on at least three different people's posts for each challenge. I try to go to the last comment and choose from that end as I know people posting towards the end of the challenge do get less response. I think your challenge is a great one and would make a fabulous Day 1 challenge for next year.
