So apparently my 'sit down and blog' resolution expired in January! The year moves into February and all is forgotten.
Woe!
...alternatively, I got distracted by something at 8.30, got busy at 9 and never quite came back to write this post. But as I've managed to blog every weekday of the year so far, I wanted to keep the momentum going, even when there's nothing to report apart from the dullness of life.
While it's been lovely having a quiet week, I'm actually sort of ready for things to pick up again. I've cleared some of the worst things that were blocking me, and with actual free time, I've got a much better sense of how I could get through other big projects, which is helpful. Dropping everything to do them really isn't, but I'm also wildly inaccurate in my time estimates - either too much or too little - which is helpful to know.
Of course, the other half of the quiet week has been the "go home and go straight to bed" part, which I'll admit has been less fun. I passed out as soon as I lay down on Monday, was exhausted Tuesday and pretty tired last night. I'm down on energy again today, dammit, despite best efforts, and so will be another "home-cook-eat-sleep" kind of night. I'm sure it's good for me, but good heavens, it's dull. I have things to do! Fun things with yarn and fabric! But no brain to do them with, and I'm sure the frustration is feeding back in to tire me again. My CFS is closely related to my anxiety, so I need to dial back the annoyance and just go with it, I think.
Still. It would be nice to see the inside of a project bag again. Maybe over the weekend.
