jadesfire: Bright yellow flower (Ducks)

I know there are various people who've been emailing and texting Mum to check we're okay so this is just a quick message to say we're fine! The river at the back of the house flooded the garden and the field opposite, but it didn't reach our garage, and as we live on the first floor, we're in no danger.

If you click the link below this, there are some pictures of the flooding - the grass is going to take a while to dry out, but we're absolutely fine. Thanks so much for the thoughts!

*grin* we're fine - hardly anything at all. I've been looking at the pictures of Tewksbury...

Are you guys bracing yourselves - I think you said you were due for flooding tomorrow?

*nods* Where I live, it should be fine. I live on a hill. I'm more worried about the people down in the Meon Valley area.

Yay! I'm very glad you're not underwater. I was quite concerned.
Hopefully it will start to get better.

Bless you - everyone's been very sweet, but we're absolutely fine. Just slightly soggy grass and lots of ducks :D

thanks!

So glad you survived intact. I'll call off the ark and tell 'em to stop gathering animals. ;)

Good plan - we've only got a small bathroom and there's no way the penguins would let anyone share with them :D

Oh certainly! *nods* Notorious non-sharers, penguins. But it's that darn giraffe that wants to share the bed that's the real irritant. Simply can't keep the blankets tucked in!

Glad to hear all his well. If one didn't know those photos were from a flood, they're quite pretty.

Our local paper (I'm in Florida) had a arial photo of Tewkesbury Abbey and the town. It's hard to believe it's only a couple days worth. Where exactly are you located? (if you don't mind my asking?)

We're in North Oxford. It's been quite surreal to have flooding without the downpours here but you're right, it does look rather pretty from here. Always a bonus, I guess...
