I am in a very odd mood today. Not up or down particularly (although definitely round and round in circles like normal), just...odd. I've been stuck in this odd limbo feeling for a few days now, and I even know how to get out of it, I'm just... Not. I said glibly to someone the other day that recovery is harder than depression, and I actually think I meant it. When I was very, very down, I honestly didn't care what was going on around me. I had no interest in anything beyond my own head, which was an unpleasant but familiar place to be. Now that I'm starting to try to crawl out of that, I'm finding that it's actually kind of hard work. I'm restless and antsy and bored and listless all at the same time. Normally my lists help, but this time, I just sort of stare at them and sigh.
Not really sure what the answer to this one is (not looking for suggestions, thanks - I'll dig it out ♥) until I dredge up some energy from somewhere.
More positively:
~ Saw my second health professional of the week this morning, and she was just as awesome as the first. I ♥ my local surgery, because both my doctor and the nurse are awesomesauce.
~ Oxford peeps, as part of the folk festival, my choir is holding a free workshop. It's at the Music Faculty building on St Aldates, from 12-1. Our conductor is made of Win, so it should be a good hour :) Not sure if I'm going to make it myself, but do come along if you fancy it. All standards welcome!
~ UK peeps, if you haven't tried out the Vote Policies website yet, I recommend it, out of interest if nothing else. It's a chance to look through policies and judge them, rather than coming with pre-conceived ideas of what each party is about. Interesting stuff.
Anyone got any actually exciting plans for the weekend? Or have a second-hand sewing machine they're looking to get rid of? Not that I have room for one, but I really, really want one right now - I'm making another bag and hand-sewing the lining does not appeal... I'll upload the pictures of the first one tomorrow, because it's so cute and I want you all to 'aw' at it :D
